brador··on We are going to kill "unalive"
Google started it all 2 decades ago.

Lowering PAGERANK of pages that contained those words (there was a secret naughty word list(fun fact that word list was initially copied from the tv censor word list)). So websites removed those words for seo.

And that’s how we got here.

Bonus fun fact: everything google penalised has been removed. Including my favorite of huge curated directory lists of links. If you had more links on your page it “bled” more pagerank which reduced your sites score. So sites stopped linking to each other so much. “Hacks” like stumbleupon appeared but faded. That’s why you can’t find cool websites anymore and you just rotate the same 5 mind numbing boring sites over and over.

It’s 2026. Take your phone and make your own point cloud in under 5 minutes.

I did it with some statues in Italy. 3D prints were at my door before I stepped off the plane.

The deep dark truth is human sentience is, by every marker we have, an illusion.

Is it cowardice to not want to face that?

"Embrace, extend, and extinguish" (EEE),[1] also known as "embrace, extend, and exterminate",[2] is a phrase that the U.S. Department of Justice found[3] to have been used internally by Microsoft[4] to describe its strategy for entering product categories involving widely used open standards, extending those standards with proprietary capabilities, and using the differences to strongly disadvantage its competitors. - wikipedia

Sad that it quickly became a dark pattern to reduce resale value, thus increasing future sales.

That’s the real reason it got added.

brador··on After Math
Math needs its own unique type of prompt engineers who can understand the output quickly.

That’s where the future of mathematicians lies.

Hobby stuff- I found slowing down works best. Just enjoy spending time in the evening picking the colors for my little project that will never ship. Genuinely relaxing, had some random boomer sitcom as background noise.

Honestly loving software engineering right now. The age of magic incantations and magic meat is over. I’m the wizard now. We all are.

And it’s awesome.

brador··on I'm sorry, you're not going to die from an AI-engineered supervirus
“I can’t do it so you can’t” is not a valid argument in the age of AI. That’s the point.
