I would suggest allowing people to send invites through Facebook or twitter so friends and followers can review work as well.
Good job though!
To "hack" investing, just focus on figuring out what type of long-term goals you have. 5, 10, 15 years, and retirement, what do you want to have achieved or saved by then. When do you want to retire?
Are you wanting to manage your money, or pay fees to have experts do it for you?
Do you have a family? Who do you support financially. All these factor in what type of personal investing you should do.
Once you have figure out all these, the main goal in investing is diversity of your portfolio. Diversity in the risk versus payoff, but also in type of investment, region, and industry.
Also the call to action (Signing up) seems to fade in the background. Make it stick it so people know exactly what you want them to do!
Keep up the good work!
Also, being a hardcore entrepreneur does not mean you completely reject authority and advice. It all depends on the structure of the course. You could implement self determined courses using professors in the position as board advisors and run semester long projects.
This would compliment the natural character of the entrepreneur.
Most educational institutions prepare students for the average life style.
However, to go beyond just comp sci curriculum most businesses classes don't focus on the true skills that matter in running and starting a business. They, just like in computer science, focus on what the majority of the population will probably be doing after graduation.
When I decided that I wanted to do a startup and not join the masses in the corporate life, I did not have much experience or course material to leverage.
These institutions should try and find a balance between offering courses for both types of peoples. Even those going into the corporate world could learn and use a bunch of the skills entrepreneurs use everyday. Most executive leaders of these big companies have the same qualities as entrepreneurs.
This could be used for businesses to embed in their site, and when they send out advertisements with a code, users would have to log on to their site and get the secret location.
FB groups do not capture this reality, the groups that are created stay and information shared is always available even after an event, or group moves on.
I believe fridge is on to a more accurate social graph. Add business and commerce solutions and you got your self a relevant business model.
Businesses don't care about who you where 2 years ago, they care about who you are now! (Time Sensitive)
Keep up the good work!
"Conversely, when all heat has been driven from a substance, as Professor Keesom almost did last week, it may be that "matter" will explode into those universal waves which man at present can call only "nothingness." What the violence of such an explosion might be, no man can guess but experimenter Keesom may yet find out."
Minimalism is a process based on economic efficiency, the science of maximization. Can I achieve the same desired outcome (or better) with the least about of effort or resources?
Minimalism can not end, and won't end. The companies and individuals that practice this process/science are the ones that get ahead.
Minimalism is not the beginning of the journey, it is the end. You have to journey through everything else to finally get to minimalism.
Groupon = Explore A new World.
Facebook = Take advantage of a world already explored.
Only problem, and one preventing this becoming a real solution is the fact that people lose and forget their phones. If I can't have access to my daily services and devices without my phone then I am stuck in a worse position than I was before passwords.
The solution to access and protection shouldn't come from a change in the key, but a change in the lock.
I can understand that people have the freedom of putting anything on your site (to a point), but it still requires work to create a new site and having a knowledge of html and css at the minimum.
The cost is cheap $10 a day, but it is still more than the free providers on those mentioned.
