You're correct. Nodejs can already run typescript code directly but it only does type stripping so it won't work with enums or namespaces which need additional code generated at build time.
I always took it as "leave it better than you found it" across the files that I've been working on (with some freedom as long I'm on schedule). My focus is to address the ticket I'm working on. Larger improvements and refactorings get ticketed separately (and yes, we do allocate time for them). In other words, I don't think it's misguided.
This should be a choice between "recommended experience" and "advanced experience" when you set your phone up. If one selects the latter they get all the prompts. It should then be possible to toggle between experiences at any point.
I understand that and how Vocaloid works. The point I am trying to make is that AI will allow people without technical musical knowledge create music. If that means writing a prompt to create a banger then so be it.
Over the past year I’ve become a big fan of Japanese music. I started with Yoasobi and then Spotify led me to Vocaloid (I knew of Hatsune Miku but I'm not into that). Nowadays I mostly listen to Vocaloid because it’s so expressive and different. This is why I'm excited about ai music - it’s a powerful and accessible tool that can help talented people explore new forms of music. That’s what music is all about for me.
What about for any non-trivial example? Ultimately the user has a choice, if ublock's performance is a concern the user can disable it for a page or simply not use the extension. Alternatively chrome could work on implementing a good resource monitor for extensions etc. Maybe it's already possible to benchmark with dev tools. In any case, completely breaking it never makes sense.
Thank you for taking the time to write this. I don't have any formal training in the field but it matches my intuition and I am surprised, astonished even, to see this explanation so far down.
My experience has been a bit better than yours. I had the same concerns you've raised here and opted for a more standard layout and got a Mistel MD770, a lesser known brand but it was important to me that the layout is familiar and it has F keys and honestly it's been great, had it for about a year now. I use it on all 3 OSs too. I'm now looking to buy another one for the office as it's too much of an effort to carry it and I've been looking for other keyboards but there aren't (m)any that have standard layout (no columnar stuff), split, pre-built, F keys and ideally hot-swappable switches. The closest is probably dygma raise but it doesn't have F keys which is unfortunate. I think I'll end up buying another MD770.
What I like about the uk mini stores is that you have healthy options and I mean balanced foods with veg and clear color coded signage of it's nutrition like salt, saturated fat, calories, 5 a day etc. In Japan kombinis have no fresh veg, any pre made food has nothing fresh or green in it (or very very little) and it's generally more difficult to find fresh things in the big cities that I've been in Japan. Fruit? Same story but a lot more expensive although much tastier but sometimes having an option is better even if it's underpar.
