I dislike the company, I like the product - I have built several small apps on the platform and nothing has ever been "no code" as they like to advertise, but hot damn was I able to throw together something useful for the business in less than a day and have people using it as quickly. As an engineer I find it incredibly valuable for making these low-to-medium value LOB apps that don't justify the man-hours to build, deploy, and fight tech debt for a full-stack web application, at least when factoring in the tradeoff for license costs.
It's a valuable product. Salesforce knows this, and prices accordingly, which is why everybody hates salesforce but still pays them.
