bluefinity··on Contractors See Weeks of Work on Health Site
Somewhat surprisingly, Visual Studio 2012 has 50 million lines of code. [0]

It's kind of weird to think that VS 2012 has more lines of code than Windows XP.

bluefinity··on Reddit has the killer social network feature: anonymity
4chan is anonymous. Last I checked, it wasn't a horrible failure, and in some ways actually works better, since there's no "karma whoring"[1].

The Japanese equivalent of Reddit (2channel) is enormously successful, possibly even more so than reddit, and it's anonymous.

bluefinity··on Just Delete Me
I'm guessing you have HTTPS Everywhere installed. It works fine on HTTP.
bluefinity··on Tesla Model S achieves best safety rating of any car ever tested
Yeah, I'm pretty sure this is the type of thing they use for crushing cars for scrap metal, not testing how much pressure it takes.
bluefinity··on Show HN: An open-source media hosting site that's anonymous and fast
I thought 2011 and 2012 were pretty good.

2011 had Fate/Zero, Madoka, Steins;Gate, Hunter x Hunter, Mawaru Penguindrum

2012 had From the New World, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Humanity has Declined, Mirai Nikki, Hyouka

2013 has.. uh.. Attack on Titan, I guess?

bluefinity··on How We Created a Fake Vodka Brand to Promote Our Startup
So, if I buy 1000 pens, and have my company name printed on them, I'm plagiarizing someone else's work? That's nonsense.

Cheap vodka is a commodity, not an art form.

bluefinity··on Https URLs posted in private Skype chats visited by Microsoft
I can confirm that HTTP links, not just HTTPS, are visited by a Microsoft IP if you paste them in to Skype. I noticed it happening a couple of weeks ago.

> Put another address into the whois

If you run an ICANN registrar, you should be aware that ICANN requires whois information to be accurate. Providing incorrect data is grounds for cancellation of your domain name. I guess long as you can still be reached from the address it would be fine though?

Personally, I use whois privacy because I don't want my physical address (and identity) to be publicly available. I had one domain that didn't have privacy years ago, and I kept getting snail-mail spam every year asking me to "renew" it, from some registrar I'd never heard of.

Do you have a source for this? I can't find any.
