The barrier to entry to HN is anyone with an internet connection and motivation to create an account with absolutely no verification. That’s quite the low bar and just invites bad behavior.
In many old forum days you had to be invited. Case in point- lobste.rs is invite only.
I’d really like a way to have my PC in one room and use it on any TV. I know Steam Link exists but it’s a bit clunky.
Firefox doesn't support Wide-Gamut.
Chrome is too enshrined with Google.
Edge has some neat features, but Microsoft keeps pushing Copilot and Bing.
Arc had major security issues, and I've lost trust in them. Also, no Windows.
Opera is a subsidiary of a Chinese company.

I work a lot in the transition area between commando and infantry aka X_10 and TEAM. I’ve also found myself on TEAM++ coming in to replace TEAM.
It is difficult to explain to customers that SVC was built on a set of assumptions which I turn informed the design. Once the assumptions changed then design typically needs to change as well.
To be frank the report is exhausting to read and I gave up.
Additionally, I wouldn’t categorize this as a roadblock, but more as an opportunity to remind the requester that there are real costs associated with their unnecessary demands.
iCloud is very confusing in this case. Apple doesn’t want people asking questions they just want you to buy more storage. They really should make this clear to both users and developers when using the photos API.

I reject the core idea of twitter, bluesky or whatever comes after. Text is not a good medium. Anonymity behind a keyboard and an avatar is a playground for bad actors.
I completely agree. This is true also for all household LED lighting. I prefer cold for kitchen food prep areas and bathrooms, but warm everywhere else.
Developers will see this as a waste.
People I know outside of tech don't know what Mozilla is.
