-laptop lid closed/open sensor.
-no lid screen at first boot was a pain to fix to external monitor.
-logic board only on first boot requires macbook pro trackpad and keyboard(case), connecting external keyboard and mouse doesn't work at login screen due to security.
Once up and running though it is an excellent, cheap compiling/local llm machine i use over ssh from another mac
-Optimal settings/configs examples for h3.c to help speed things up -Optimal recommended generation settings for each mac product, i am sure it is easy to do -Prompt generator assistant
Great work from the github author. The more i use it the more i realise i don't need a gui to generate video, just terminal.
My setup: Macbook #1 as a client Macbook #2 as server
-use macbook #1 terminal + ssh -run mactop in terminal tab to monitor Macbook #2's hardware during ai video generation -run h3.c on Macbook #2 via ssh session -transfer the output video file from macbook #2 to macbook #1 using terminal scp -view the video
-31b It's a dense model
-how many tokens/s is it running at
-What temps are the M1 max GPU/CPU running at
-Is it mlx or gguf
-Why 31b and not 26b which is moe and much more efficient on the m1 max at 50tokens/s & low temps.
I personally use (MLX) qwen3.6-35b-8bit mostly, but use Gemma-4-26b-4bit for image analysis, its mind blowing how fast it is at identifying the scene in a photograph.
I hope to add ai data tools & saas, but really I'm just happy to have a running working live setup on my small farming plot ready for the growing season - https://benb0jangles.github.io/Remote-greenhouse-monitor/
