I think if some of the wealthiest in the world drew out their money in $1 bills they could contribute to make a pile of over 4 trillion and reach the moon that way. Assuming $1 bills still exist.
Yes, the 'pedestrians first' vibe in London may be a learning curve for these. Where I live there are several junctions ,(without crossings) where folks just step out and expect cars to wait.
"In Britain, the term Trigger's broom is sometimes used, in reference to a line from the sitcom Only Fools and Horses in which road sweeper Trigger says that he has used the same broom for 20 years, with it only needing 17 new heads and 14 new handles in that time."
It has been commonplace for analogue watches to be set to 10:10 or more often 1:40 so that the hands are pleasingly symmetrical and mostly frame the logo. I think this is just a carry over from that. The figures you use mention probably create that arrangement more accurately, though of course completely unnecessarily!
I share that thought, but wonder if is the flagger who needs the comment more than the admins. Like the scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark when Harrison Ford just shoots the man with the big sword, I find just down voting or flagging feels like an act of boredom.
Well, it sometimes happens that neighborhoods go down hill. If Canada felt like moving, I think it would get on well in Europe if we can find room for it.
I remember parking in central London where you left your car in a single space inside a building and it would whisk it up onto some unseen location. I think that was under human control but maybe it will make a comeback with automation.
Yes, it is a shame the Bible became "a book", taken to be homogenous, when it should be approached as it is, a large collection of books which should be considered individually.
You are assuming the luck is in our decisions, but most things are outside our control. If you were born 100 years ago, your options would be completely different.
