The surprising part of this graph for me is that I thought all EVs had a similar magnitude of loss in the winter... guess not! Kudos to Tesla on this particular metric.
be sure to check out #plottertwitter on the twitter tubes (oops, totally missed that this was called out in the very first sentence), and i've also been collecting useful plotter-related links here:
https://github.com/beardicus/awesome-plotters
(one last edit / promo: if you get the nostalgia fuzzies for plotters, be sure to check out the "Manuals and Ephemera" section of the above repo, where i've linked up a bunch of plotter-related manuals and brochures and advertisements from the internet archive)
the same is true for my wife. 2 small anecdata points.
if you'd like more information about our doggie treats, so as to start a prophylactic course of treatment, please let me know.
i guess one major reason i'd be hesitant to buy is that i'm not sure i'd love a trackball, and i've been spoiled by apple's trackpads. maybe this could force me into practicing more keyboard-only navigation though...
because they charge at home! this article is quite silly.
if you cant level 2 charge at home then yes... having an EV may be quite inconvenient. but all this "i can fill my SUV in three minutes" stuff is... dumb. know what's even more convenient? never stopping at a stupid gas station ever again. i wait 0 minutes for my car to charge because i plug it in when i get home and then go inside and forget all about it.
"I use Google Reader, and Google isn't going anywhere."
I imagine requiring a credit card up-front cuts down on a ton of automated spam, and this tradeoff is worth it to pinboard.
"You may not be using HTML for that page in 20 years time, but you might want today's links to it to still be valid. The canonical way of making links to the W3C site doesn't use the extension."
I am constantly surprised by how difficult many static site generators make it to create URLs of this format (notice no trailing slash, before you tell me about the "Pretty URLs" options in most software).
... for you. it's pretty perfect for me. i love my home office, i'm never tempted to go flop on the couch, i get to go for walks to visit my beehives during lunch. once a week i spend some morning time working in a coffee shop just to remind myself there are other humans. that's sufficient.
I haven't switched to Hyper because I have found it a bit pokey and that doesn't work for me, but I'll still give this one a try. I'm curious to hear about any interesting reasons other people _have_ chosen Hyper, or particularly cool things it enables by being built on web technologies. Anybody?
Anyways. It's fun... I post silly inconsequential pictures because I know only a half-dozen people will ever see them. The public timeline is not very lively so I hope w/ better federation and more attention it can be a little more active.
I'm pretty sick of Instagram though, so Pixelfed and the fediverse in general seems fun.
The web app is fine and works fine on mobile. A little clunky, but that's how I likes my indieweb. :)
> Now let's add docker to the sudo group, that will allow us to run all the docker commands without sudo
This command is actually adding the current user to the docker group, not adding docker to the sudo group. Same end result though.
Be sure to check out the #plottertwitter hashtag for inspiration, and I've aggregated some resources in an `awesome-plotters` repo as well: https://github.com/beardicus/awesome-plotters
In my experience, claims like these usually end up showing that the author didn't understand the `PRAGMA synchronous` setting at all, or they chose to ignore it to juice their stats.
In this benchmarking test are the data durability guarantees the same for both LiteTree and vanilla SQLite?
