bashzor··on Hacks that improved my life
I find it funny that this is on #14 on the homepage :)
bashzor··on Engineering Pornography (2002)

bashzor··on Most lives are lived by default
503 unavailable. I don't know, but I'll bet $10 that this is another Wordpress blog that made it to the HN homepage. Somehow it are almost always Wordpress blogs that go down.

If I really did bet for $10 that it's wordpress every time a site goes down on the HN homepage, I could simply quit my job. Perhaps I should ask $10 to optimize Wordpress websites (aka install a caching plugin and done), hmm...

bashzor··on Syria Completely Cut Off From the Internet
No shit, it's only been covered by two other front-page stories on HN
bashzor··on Firefox OS (Boot 2 Gecko) Simulator - Runs on Windows, Mac and Linux
Firefox OS simulator that runs on Win/mac/lin? Sounds like a complicated way of just running Firefox :P
bashzor··on Show HN: I'm 15 years old, and I released my first NPM module: Wizardry
It's commonly known, especially on HN, that self education works much better than any school. I too surpass pretty much everyone at school because I started programming much earlier.
bashzor··on Show HN: I'm 15 years old, and I released my first NPM module: Wizardry
Oh a 15 year old, how cute. So, what about that module? Why is it special enough to be posted to HN?

The age is not relevant. Imagine someone of 36 made this module and included his age. If he had gotten into programming at 35 and this was some kick-ass thing, then yeah that would be kinda neat. Now you could have been programming for five years or so, which gives you a big advantage.

If you had been twelve or so, then I'd say it rocks. But fifteen is a fine age to develop something.

I don't mean to discourage you at all, just let the product speak and not your age.

bashzor··on Show HN: I'm 15 years old, and I released my first NPM module: Wizardry
I don't see how being 15 years old requires any empathy by default.
bashzor··on Dot.TK stores passwords in plain text [png]
I get the password as well when resetting it: http://lucb1e.com/rp/randomupload/dottk-paintext-pwd2.png
bashzor··on Watch Mitt Romney's Facebook Likes Decrease in Real Time
That's interesting. I believe I submitted the same thing just yesterday (made by a friend). Tss.

bashzor··on Randall Munroe Responds to Gelman's Criticism of XKCD
I love this line.

The truth is, I genuinely didn’t realize Frequentists and Bayesians were actual camps of people—all of whom are now emailing me.

bashzor··on Number of likes of Mitt Romney on Facebook decreasing constantly
Haven't tried it, but isn't that blocked by Javascript's cross-domain protection?

bashzor··on Reimagining the Windows Command Line
Not so much "reimagined" as "an improvement for windows' command prompt" it seems.
bashzor··on The Best Time to Post on Hacker News
What's the deal with EST or PDT? Can't you Americans just use some GMT-n so we can all convert it? Despite most stories being American-based or focussed here, the world does not center around you. Yeah it does on your maps - it's confusing, I know - but no the world is not actually about you.
bashzor··on DuckDuckGo Plugin: Hacker News Search
It's better than HNSearch? Why?
bashzor··on The Fight
I can not +1 this enough
bashzor··on ‘Creepy Cameraman’ pushes limits of public surveillance
Because in that case they have no choice. They want to get whatever the store has. Here they can argue with the person taking the video. In fact, the video taker is specifically targeting them, which raises only more questions for the subjects being filmed.
bashzor··on ‘Creepy Cameraman’ pushes limits of public surveillance
Of course it would be equally disturbing, but what I find disturbing is that any wall-mounted camera could have someone behind it as well. In fact, it could be on display on some URL (google for "google hacks camera").
bashzor··on ‘Creepy Cameraman’ pushes limits of public surveillance
Omg. After reading other comments, first thing I'd do when I saw a cop with that is pull out my phone and start filming him back.
bashzor··on Show HN: I built a thing
What thing did you build? I'm not gonna click on titles like these.
bashzor··on Password Security The Right Way
CSPRNG*. CSPNG is Collaborative Support Programs of New Jersey :P
bashzor··on Mozilla blogger bought 1 million Facebook entries (full name, e-mail) for $5
It associates Mozilla too, unfairly imho.
bashzor··on iPad mini
Funny how it's only 1.9 square centimeters larger than the iPhone 5, and I'm guessing it lacks a call feature. Who does phone calls nowadays anyway right? And this old iPod Touch is incredibly obsolete now anyway, nobody uses that anymore.
bashzor··on Introducing the USB Stick of Death
It doesn't crash (no kernel panic), just makes the system so slow that you can't use it anymore until you pull the stick out.
bashzor··on Introducing the USB Stick of Death
I've had an usb stick of death for years now. Any system you plug it in instantly freezes. No idea how I made it, but it was certainly not the goal! And whatever I do, I can't get it to overwrite whatever data is on there :P
bashzor··on Google's I'm feeling lucky button is feeling Hungry (mouse over)
Oh hey, welcome to the internet. Yup, Google changed the I'm feeling lucky button a while ago.
bashzor··on How Jeff Atwood works
Disappointingly uninteresting answers :(
bashzor··on Ask HN: Review my startup, TeamDoList.com
Try Asana, also a collaborative to-do list but with many features. Not overly many features, just exactly the ones you need (or that was my experience anyway). Free also for business use up to 30 people, which is very reasonable I think.
bashzor··on Ask HN: Review my startup, TeamDoList.com
What problem does it solve? That's what you should ask yourself.

It just looks like another to-do app to me, which I might even have developed myself in about fifteen minutes. Also as others have mentioned, this is more of a project than some startup.
