azrealus··on Show HN: soft-launching one of my pet projects
very cool. it would be nice to add categories or tags to clues. API would be nice too so maybe somebody else could create a mobile version :)

azrealus··on Sproutcore vs jQuery +backbone.js
We've been using backbone for few of our projects. Here is a prototype we are working on right now: http://whiteboard.couchone.com/whiteboard/_design/whiteboard... it sits on top of the couchdb/couchapp. We did spend some time evaluating different options before we started (including SproutCore and JavascriptMVC). The main reason we decided to go with Backbone is that it's so much lighter. You can actually open the source and understand what is going on. You can plug in your own UI and templating engine easily. Backbone basically allows you to glue different elements together via Backbone's model/collection architecture (it's almost like a real backbone connecting different body pieces together :)).
azrealus··on Steve's story - Google employee #13
awesome and inspiring story. thank you for sharing.
azrealus··on Ask HN: Any Polish developers or entrepreneurs on HN?
I'm Polish but I live in USA
azrealus··on Ask HN: What has progressed in your field in 2010?
for me it's javascript. many awesome libraries are being created (backbone, CoffeeScript, knockoutjs). I'm also excited about few new game engines for js (craftyjs - component based approach). I also like the approach behind couchdb/couchapp (2 layers apps).

interesting I wonder about his opinion about ruby.
azrealus··on My Startup - A node.js cloud hosting platform
Why do you think you got rejected? It seems like a really good idea.
azrealus··on Review my app, Crate.
I love how simple it is :) Nice job guys! The one thing which I would change is jumping to the other window to add my files to the crate I just created. I see the crate I just created added to my list but then the screen suddenly jumps to the other view. Other than that it's very nice!
azrealus··on Ask HN: What is the most modern CMS?
I really like goodie.com and flavors.me. Although they are not full CMS the way they mange content is very impressive.
azrealus··on Ask HN: what was your first programming gig, and how much did you actually know?
I started in a very small web dev shop when I was still in college. I had some programming experience but when I started I quickly realized my experience was irrelevant. The place was a good starting point because I was able to experiment with different technologies, talk to clients, do front and backend stuff and manage 2 small apache servers. During this time I also learned what I like and don't like doing.

It's true companies often put a lot of requirements on the list but they are usually serious about few of them. I think what is important for a lot of them is if you can actually pick up things fast. If I were you I would choose something which excites you and try to get better at it every day. Use it to build something like a prototype or small project etc, and then look for companies with similar interest.
