I agree. It's more about developing good habits, so pick a small activity and see it through to the end. Bake a loaf of bread. Take out the garbage. Heck, even deciding you're going to do ten pushups and then doing them can help get you back in a finishing mindset.
This is huge. This is amazing. Not only are De La Soul incredible artists, but their work isn't available on Rdio. I had De La Soul is Dead on cassette -- I definitely know what I'll be doing at 11 am (servers willing).
The three iOS device silhouettes in the video reminded me of the family stickers people put on the backs of their cars (Mom, Dad, kid, kid, baby, dog, cat).
Definitely. We obsess about "how to avoid X", while getting fixated on X and trying to come up with an "anti-X" solution, but it's so much easier to be "pro-Y".
I'm wondering the same -- I had just switched from the $9.99 plan to the $4.99, because I only listen to Rdio on my computers (at home or work). Maybe I'll start streaming vinyl over MPD, or some fool thing.
I had exactly the same experience in one of my data structures classes. It was fairly late in the morning (maybe around 10:30), but as soon as the prof started speaking I conked out. My only explanation was boredom -- I ended up switching majors, and only experienced that level of drowsiness in one other class during my academic career.
I can't help but think that it means "you're in the wrong place."
