Last:
Heroku != blog of a random startup
Lead sentence != middle of post
I won't continue as this leads nowhere.
Either way - thanks for taking the time to explain.
The sentence just sounds as if you paid $5 someone to write you an intro to a technical matter because you didn't know what to to use.
The sentence is general and without point. Because it is coming from a technical company and is aimed towards technical people, yes, I find it ridiculous.

I haven't seen any mention of that on HN.
Symfony components are used in Laravel and upcoming Drupal 8. The funding above means that SensioLabs will continue to work on solid platform(s) that will bring higher quality development and standards to PHP.
Honestly, I'm pretty happy for that.
> PHP developers are makers at heart.
What is the difference between a PHP developer and any other developer? If they tried to stick this in the middle, I could swallow it but opening sentence is just ridiculous.

The project scaffold generator part sounds pretty interesting because I needed it pretty often and eventually had to build that for myself.
However, I tried right now once more and it seems that it's available again.

Symfony components and Composer made their way into Laravel and Drupal (new v8), which will hopefully result in "normalizing" the situation and imposing some standards in PHP.
Did they bring higher quality or they are just thinner with slightly better specs/battery?
Diving into WebGL is on my todo list for a long time. Games using it (e.g. Quake) really do look impressive for something that doesn't require any additional plugins to run.

If you check the JS console log, you'll see that this is most probably caused by calling the Mixpanel (analytics/tracking script) track method in slideshow.js (line 12), which triggers an error because Mixpanel is not loaded.
Here's the error: 'Uncaught ReferenceError: mixpanel is not defined'.

I suggest reading it from cover-to-cover as they go from basic stuff to more advanced topics.
It has been a subject of several discussions here. Even though originally a web app, it provides a much better/smoother/better looking experience than most of the HN apps for both iOS and Android.
At least on iOS, the app allows you to continue reading where you left off. This wasn't possible if you just added the app to the home screen in iOS for example.
Also, Android app is here:

This touches a much deeper topic and won't most likely be related directly to the original post, so I'll stop here :)
