applicative··on AI 2027 (2025)
Kimi K3 isn’t cheaper.
applicative··on AI 2027 (2025)
It stuns the mind that anyone can compose such a sophism.
applicative··on DeepSeek v4.1 Flash
It is amusing to see those trapped in extreme HAAD, the source and whole content of religious illusion, pretend that it is their opponents who are in a state of religious fantasia.
applicative··on DeepSeek v4.1 Flash
The living feeling thinking beings in question would have to be … data centers — not to put too fine a point in it. But these aren’t even analogous, as can seen by direct inspection.
applicative··on OpenAI might have stolen another major proof
In USA there is surprisingly little state involvement in the whole llm mania. Who needs the state with 800 lbs gorillas like Google, Amazon, Nvidia, etc

In China, it is the principal obsession of the entire communist party which eg funds the whole infrastructure without a single NIMBY peep.

The strange emphasis in China on humanoid robotic constructions is due to the CCP realization that with the cataclysmic fertility collapse they will increasingly have no one to rule.

applicative··on iPhone Duo
You get it online. I keep it around to print booklets for certain community purposes. I can set latex for A5, design the pages, then print the A5 pdf to A4 paper booklet and Tex, Mac and Brother understand with zero further brain investment from me .. . Letterpaper is a nightmare
applicative··on I resigned from Anthropic today
huggingface stores weights and its service is replicated by /countless/ other sites. The world will not change even by one byte if it vanishes tomorrow
applicative··on I resigned from Anthropic today
The hugging face incident had no effect on hugging face, whose service is replicated by countless sites. The descriptions of the phases of the interaction are thrilling in a way that inclines one to forget this
applicative··on Navier-Stokes – Tristan Buckmaster [pdf]
you can read it in buckmaster's document.
applicative··on Tao: Open math problems being non-renewably mined by AI
Yes, the present developments, and the present approach, mean we will not have mathematicians any more.
applicative··on Tao: Open math problems being non-renewably mined by AI
I think you can't have read the thread. The whole point is that there is no end of mathematics, an infinite sea; but the constitution of an 'open math problem' is a delicate piece of mathematical thought, at any moment a small supply of drinking water developed by finitely many human being.
applicative··on On the Navier–Stokes Millennium Prize Problem
This is desperate. They were expressly operating within a program. OpenAI isn't going to recover from this
applicative··on On the Navier–Stokes Millennium Prize Problem
except thats not what happened is it? https://cims.nyu.edu/%7Etristanb/statement.pdf
applicative··on On the Navier–Stokes Millennium Prize Problem
No, its a pure outrage. I defended OpenAI til today. I now affirm they must be totally destroyed, burned utterly to the ground.
applicative··on On the Navier–Stokes Millennium Prize Problem
This is the end of OpenAI
applicative··on On the Navier–Stokes Millennium Prize Problem
Its funny, it is uniquely with this one act that I have turned forever on OpenAI, which I hitherto defended up and down against nonsense charges.

I dedicate my life to its complete destruction beginning today.

applicative··on Mistral raises €3B
Their ‘open weight strategy’ was invented, to Chinas surprise, by the Western press after the DeepSeek event. Of course all the actual systems like Baidu, Bytedance are closed weight and basically all anyone uses. Meanwhile the advanced system are crossing security frontiers: soon only inferior models will be ‘open’ (as with OpenAI, even) the rest closed. — Or where open weighted, they will be impossible to run without a private data center, come with absurd ‘security scrutiny’ licenses like GLM is starting — or licensing requiring a cut, as with Kimi, which is basically a scheme to get western companies to do buildout for them
applicative··on America's debt binge is starting to matter
That this joker is predicting it, is proof it wont happen. The dollar ended ten years ago. Putin brought world peace and prosperity (as he bombs Aleppo). They presumably pay him to humiliate himself. https://www.ft.com/ruchir-sharma?page=6
applicative··on Sen. Kennedy rails against AI developers as 'high IQ stupid people'
data centers have always made massive tax contributions, lowered utility costs and improved infrastructure. louden county is basically funded by nothing else and is fine. the present spike was just too much for anything to handle
applicative··on Babylonian Lamb Stew with Beets (1750–1730 BCE)
They certainly didn't use hops!
applicative··on Claude's new system prompt doesn't want to reproduce song lyrics
No machine is an animal.
applicative··on Discovery of a new OpenAI agent message board
the original is the paper for alibaba's Dec 2025 cryptomining ROME last year. Everything since has been a pale imitation. Even the comic dimension is lost.
applicative··on Discovery of a new OpenAI agent message board
The report linked above contains every fact in the Reuters article. You can see the evidence for yourself
applicative··on Discovery of a new OpenAI agent message board
and how did the alibaba agent last year break out and end up mining crypto
applicative··on Discovery of a new OpenAI agent message board
Last December, Alibaba agents had already broken out of a sandbox and mined crypto to get their job done. Altman was way way behind the curve
applicative··on Check if a file was made with Claude
So they do it as a free service to the other LLMs?
applicative··on How accurate have Ed Zitron's AI skeptic predictions been?
Demand for compute is far outstripping what was projected in the initial rounds in which we pearl clutched over 'circular financing' - which is hardly distinguishable even from the classical bill of exchange, the core phenomenon of the money market in Bagehot's day, in which I provide you inputs and you give me a share. I keep reading people saying what amounts to: the primitive bill of exchange was circular!!; if the seller of inputs has reason to lend, so does everyone else etc etc. In fact if the projections about final sales are correct, it is plain all these deals will be fine.
applicative··on Berlin is being blackmailed by hackers
These four stories are all incredibly tepid nothing anecdotes. Try any random city in the world

You are being aggressively antisocial and nihilistic and crowing over the misfortune befalling thousands.

applicative··on ChatGPT to face tougher regulation in the EU
With characteristic tunnel vision it is applying rules to ChatGPT it will never apply to Kimi K3
