The problem was that, with my experience and resume listing those things clearly, and the company in site need to fill this position, why didn't the interviewer ask a single question, even challenging my resume based on my answers.
I get it could've been a thousand other things, but this single exchange really stood out to me as something I would've delved deeper into in the interviews I've conducted.
In my opinion, as douchy as it sounds, the company lost out on not hiring me. They still have the posting up 3 weeks later, and wanted to spin someone up in 30 days because of a 4 month work backlog. Had the person asked maybe test more questions, they would've had someone in that spot.
Sorry, I support the cause, but I don't need yet another account somewhere just to click a button.
One day I got an email saying "You are no longer allowed to use this and the decision is final. You may not contest it" or something like that. I responded asking for more information and they wouldn't give me any.
So, here I am, still trying to find a viable alternative. My novels and poetry books don't really sell since then, which is mostly my fault for being lazy, but I was getting rid of a few here and there before.
Sucked that they had such horrible customer service tho.
I'm kind of blown away by how quickly people started using Zoom and how they still choose to totally ignore security/privacy issues.
I found out they were trying to fax each other documents because of some archaic requirement and thought it was the most hilarious thing ever. Totally just sending each other emails with extra steps for no reason.
I'd even say free will is more of a spiritual belief that people like to adopt, and in whatever year far off in the future it will be accepted that it just isn't a thing.
I hate to sound like a jerk, but if people paid producers instead of subscribing to companies, the world may be a better place.
