>Difficulty made it so that people felt pride in what they had achieved.
There are still plenty of difficult tasks still in the game mixed with achievements/mounts that can give you the same level of pride and satisfaction.

On a side-note: would it be interesting to have a second branch of the game, maybe not called Classic, that would follow the main-line of the game, but would be a large chunk of expansions behind? That way people could relive those old expansions as if they were the latest one released. Personally, I think I would be much more on board with that since the game would actually change over time.
You know, there has to be a story behind this. I'm not sure what it is, but I hope it is good.
>So while still very clever, I sadly don't think this could ever make a difference.
I get what you mean by this, but why can't these solutions be used in places that are willing to make a difference? Anywhere this is deployed is making a difference locally. In the grand scheme of the world, yes we do need some big solutions to get some places up to speed but if a bubble wall cleans up some of the 10% other plastic in the water, then I am all for it. We can't keep our heads in the sand over the 90%, but we need to be happy about the small victories we can get.
I remember hearing about the machine that picks up trash in Baltimore at the Inner Harbor. It would take the current and push the trash into the machines conveyor belt. It was probably pick up a percent of a percent of the total world trash, but it made the harbor area much cleaner.
A "Patreon-funded full-time job position" and the ability to take weeks off at a time? What an amazing career path Evan has taken. He sounds so passionate about Vue and he is fully funded to be able to do it. And what a good project to fund, always moving forward but at the same time pushing for the features that users want.
In a country where about 61% [0] of voting-age people actually take the time to vote, I can't believe there are people trying to bring that number down more. It saddens me that anybody would want to silence a voice/vote through disinformation online. It also really confuses me on who this would even affect? I haven't seen any posts about this (I haven't been on Facebook in years) so I am unsure who the "target" audience is. Would the perpetrators just want a really low turnout, hoping one side is just smart enough to not listen? Or is it to just instill more confusion?

Every time I am made aware of just how young the US is, it blows me away. I've never been to Europe, I would really love to go some day, but I can only imagine the feeling of actually seeing these really old places/structures in person.
My gosh, after the first time, I'd be wary. After the second time, I'd be looking for a safer job. Good on him though, seriously. Pushing for something to make his sport safer for all.
Then I get into this "well, won't be me anyway, so why bother" mood where I accomplish even less with my free time. I have urge to do more, but it is a vicious cycle sometimes.
I know we would receive laptop batteries, phone batteries, and other rechargeables but they never made it into the bin. I hear now, anything with a screen costs money to recycle at Bestbuy. They really seem to be taking a step in the wrong direction. Better labelled bins, and easier access to recycling areas will make it easier for the average person to recycle, which in my opinion, is a net gain for us all.
So, what do we do then? Create laws to fix the possible abuse or create laws to prohibit the selling of this information in the first place? Why was this allowed originally?
>"This is a revenue generating contract"
It is disgusting to me that they would be willing to forfeit privacy for money, but in today's game, I fully expect it at this point.
Edit: clarity.
You would also assume that people drink their "max quota" of drinks a day, thus being forced to eliminate something to make room. There's always room for milk my friend.
