Didn't they switch to Mercurial?

antimatter··on The Case Against ISP Tolls
Best of luck. May I ask for a high level overview of what is involved with bootstrapping a small ISP?
antimatter··on IntelliJ IDEA 13.1 RC Introduces Sublime Text Style Multiple Selections
One behavior I wish they copied from Sublime Text is how tabs are opened. In Sublime, if you single click a file, it will show you its content but will not place an open tab in the tab bar. A tab is opened only when double clicking a file or if you start to edit a file. I accumulate so many tabs when just trying to reference things in IntelliJ.
antimatter··on The Rags-To-Riches Tale Of How Jan Koum Built WhatsApp
Why does this article say the deal was for $19 billion where it is $16 billion everywhere else?
antimatter··on Comcast vs. the Cord Cutters
Exactly my thought. I cut the cord 2 years ago and it's amazing how much more enjoyable the content I do watch is without ads.
antimatter··on Google to Acquire Nest
Nest thermostat can detect whether a home is occupied or not. I imagine this is the biggest cause for concern.
antimatter··on Dropbox Could Be A Bargain At An $8 Billion Valuation
Are there any plans for Dropbox to move to its own infrastructure? At their scale, I would think it would be much cheaper just going by how much Everpix was paying Amazon for storage.
antimatter··on Bigger than Google Fiber: LA plans citywide gigabit for homes and businesses
> Greater LA aside, there's no chance in hell they lay fiber to every residence in the Valley (the communities that the 134/101 run through and everything else north of that), there's no chance in hell they lay fiber all the way down to San Pedro. Not for five billion dollars, not for five trillion dollars.

Why wouldn't this happen in the Valley? Genuinely curious as I live there.

antimatter··on Bigger than Google Fiber: LA plans citywide gigabit for homes and businesses
From the article:

"But Google Fiber in its current form wouldn't be considered. "They would have to change their business model," Reneker said of Google. "They only run residential. We're requiring a component for the business. That would be a new market for them."

antimatter··on Pixelmator 3.0
Have you tried Acorn? http://www.flyingmeat.com/acorn/
antimatter··on Why it’s time to support only Android 4.0 and above
Since it looks like you're on Wordpress, the supercache plugin (http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-super-cache/) should help even on the cheapest Digital Ocean plan.
antimatter··on Facebook Removing Option To Be Unsearchable By Name
If enough of your friends did this and you had to block all of them, you'd have no use for a facebook account.
antimatter··on Facebook Removing Option To Be Unsearchable By Name
I don't have a facebook account. My friends that do generally just send me (and a few others without facebook accounts) an email when they are hosting an event. Is it really that much of an effort to remember to invite people who aren't on facebook?
antimatter··on T-Mobile to offer free unlimited international data, texts
I switched to T-Mobile last month after Apple released the 5s. This has also been my experience.
antimatter··on Firefox fixes save gigabytes of memory on image-heavy pages
This is great. Mind sharing any extensions used?

antimatter··on Learn X in Y minutes where X = Go
Loved this. Can someone point to a relatively simple open source project written in Go that I can dig into to learn further?
antimatter··on Silent Circle shuts down email service
He's asking if it's illegal, not claiming that it is.
antimatter··on XKeyscore: NSA program collects 'nearly everything a user does on the internet'
This. I can't seem to make people around me understand this point.
antimatter··on NSA Boss Asks Congress For Blanket Immunity For Companies That Help NSA Spy
I've done exactly this and it's shocking how many people simply don't care or don't see how wrong this is.
antimatter··on iOS 7 looks familiar
Great post. This is what I keep thinking. I couldn't care less about these companies copying each other. If it benefits me as the user, then let them sue each other into oblivion or make any marketing claim about being innovative. Why do people take these things so personally?
antimatter··on iOS 7
AMD GPUs, not CPUs.
antimatter··on A new Gmail inbox
I do this exact same thing. Works perfectly for me with minimal effort.
antimatter··on Show HN: It's hard to make friends offline, so we built a solution
You're not alone. I did the same thing. Don't have a facebook account but was interested in a service like this.
antimatter··on Google Talk Chat History can no longer be turned off by default
How do you confirm other than looking for chat logs within Gmail? I don't have any chat logs as I had all conversation logging disabled before this update.
antimatter··on Google Talk Chat History can no longer be turned off by default
Stupid question. Do they only keep a history of chats happening inside the Gmail chat client? I only ever use Google Talk via Adium or Pidgin. If they're recording my conversations even when I'm not in the Gmail app and I can't turn this off, then I think I'm done with my Google account.
antimatter··on Google Fiber announced for Provo, Utah
Realistically speaking, if all these various roll outs go smoothly for Google, how many years until we see Google Fiber in major cities (LA, SF, NY, etc.)?
antimatter··on Free works
I think he means Google could've have open sourced Reader if they wanted to.
antimatter··on White House Response to “Make Unlocking Cell Phones Legal”
I'd be interested in reading about your experience doing this. I've been considering leaving the US as well lately.
antimatter··on ISPs Now Monitoring for Copyright Infringement
On a related note, who do you guys recommend for VPN? I've been looking at PPTP tunneling with https://www.tunnelr.com/
