There's some Common Lisp package to code for the web:
https://github.com/rabbibotton/clog
No AI gen would be needed if the game can be structured enough a la GB Studio.
So it's just a matter of combinatorics.
even the ZMachine it's an astounding example of running virtual machines on 8 bit machines 20 years earlier than Java.
If you like something like a blend between a 2D Minecraft, object crafting, zombie/mutant/cyborg survival and tons of Cyberpunk references this is almost the game. It has everything.
On Deus Ex (the first one) installing GMDX and playing it with that MOD it's a must. No, forget that crappy HDTP or whatever it's called, it has broken Chinese/Japanase Hanzi/Kanji in Hong Kong and it looks tacky as hell. GMDX it's tons better and it expands the game areas, interaction, objects and such a lot. For instance, the NYC Statue Park looks far more realist this way, with logically (and architecturally speaking) set objects for a more lifelike environment.
Again, check HAKMEM from ITS/Maclisp/PDP10's (The OS from Richard Stallman took all the ideas for GNU Emacs, the GPL license, the free software movemement and whatnot). Lisp itself accounts for tons of papers and innovation.
I'd woudn't consider SICP negative, the same with all the good CL books (Intro to Symbolic Computation, Paradigms of AI Programming...)
Both are the ur-examples on how to grasp the basic of CS well.
SICP tells me otherwise.
Meanwhile, CSV files parsed with custom reviewed AWK scripts can be 100% safe with charts made from Gnuplot. Heck, even some notebook like Ipython with a CSV module would be far more desirable than a spreadsheet. Any of them. Just look at the Genomics Disaster on Excel because of shitty parsing.
