Were "the Economy" comprised broadly of 15-20 employee companies with a few £million turnover each per year, I think that could be good for it...

On a gigabit connection. It's hard to imagine clusters running on anything below 10Gb as an absolute minimum.

I don't think so. I had a Crystal Well laptop from MSI.

They also made them for desktop in I5, I7 and Xeon form.

How so? I'd imagine there's a net increase of intention, owing to the way AI closes skill gaps & lowers the barriers to entry for creation.

This is pretty simple to solve for. Eg. Have the app provide an ID the customer can quote to the CS rep; Have the app also log this ID, along with the system it's being run on, to the cloud/an interface that pops up an "unsupported system" message to the CS agent on entering the ID.

It was a pun: "Bulldozer" as in "(v.) to destroy" and also a former AMD microarchitecture which, as sibling reply mentions, was a flop.

anoother··on Ask HN: Have you experienced “hiring fraud?”
You have the person taking the ID included in one of the interviews. It's not that hard.

I don't see an issue here… He was completely honest about working two jobs at once, to the extent of putting it on his resume.

Surely you'd have followed this up with some questions about how the contracts for those two jobs were worded, or that you'd expect someone to be working full-time for yourselves and wether that would be acceptable?

The way I see it, you didn't miss the coup. You got a $300 experience for $12.

I'm monetary terms, you got the exact same outcome as if you'd have sold the tickets.

Ah, but you're assuming the 2U device is a server. More likely JBOF that can be connected to multiple servers.
anoother··on OPPO Digital will gradually stop manufacturing new products
It's news to me that they manufacture anything other than phones.

This announcement seems to be US-centric; doesn't seem they (or OnePlus) will stop making phones.

What does 'agency' refer to in this subthread?

Agency for what?

Yup.

Depends on the type of 'game'.

For eg. a racing sim, it could take 90+ minutes just to set up controls satisfactorily (this has happened to me).

And for some titles, even getting them running is something that previously takes hours. Stream counts any time the game exe is running as play time, regardless of playability.

Did you mean to say 'rational' as opposed to 'not rational'?

If time has positive value, then so do objects with time invested in them.

I love servethehome, but find their actual reviews (of which TFA is not one) somewhat frustrating.

Most motherboards they review get a rating of 9.something/10.

They provide some interesting insights but often gloss over aspects that I, at least, really care about.

I could go on, but it's easy to criticise. They're the only ones covering a lot of what they cover. And I love their forums.
