angryasian··on Ask HN: Who has been unemployed for more than 6 months?
>60 interviews

60 interviews with no offers is a big issue. I know you're looking for reasons but maybe your skill level in Python is not where you think it is and overall you're not aligned with the general market of what a Sr. engineer. skill level should be.

angryasian··on Pfizer vaccine immunity diminishes, can reach as low as 20% after 4 months
I'm sure the potential for spreading a virus for an employer knowingly not taking preventable measures will be challenged in court.

Its not really a side effects lottery any longer. This is complete nonsense.

angryasian··on Pfizer vaccine immunity diminishes, can reach as low as 20% after 4 months
its questionable to me that this "person" has such a vested interest in the vaccine and why he wants his viewpoint to be spread so actively
angryasian··on Ask HN: Complete Deepfake Nudes – The Future?
I believe it is all created and scripted out by the user creating it.
angryasian··on Web3 – A Vision for a Decentralized Web
wouldn't opensea.io be considered a closed platform. Didn't one of their employees get in trouble for buying and hyping up NFT's to profit. I find the whole Web3 really deplorable.
angryasian··on Ask HN: Complete Deepfake Nudes – The Future?
>So the question is, if we can generate incredibly detailed and believable faces, why not entire bodies with faces? This must exist already.

This already exists for VR, check out virt-a-mate. https://old.reddit.com/r/VAMscenes/. obviously nsfw.

you can have very detailed created women doing what you want in VR

angryasian··on What does my engineering manager do all day?
> lead frontend engineer to a senior engineering manager

How does one make a jump like this in one year. I'd question their career ladder and development more than his supposed daily scheduling. Maybe he wasn't well equipped to handle senior management

angryasian··on Ex-Firebase investor leads $10M seed round for open source alternative
interesting, firebase and facebook bought parse. Who's left to buy this ?
angryasian··on Limits on Toilet Paper and Cleaning Supplies Are Back at Costco
which one were you considering ? I was looking at the fluidmaster bidet which is around that price

angryasian··on China mounts wave after wave of cyberattacks on Australia
More anti chinese propaganda. I'm sure Robert Potter, chief executive officer of Internet 2.0, an Australian cybersecurity company that this entire article is based around has nothing to gain from this kind of hit piece.
angryasian··on Show HN: I made a meme creator that makes around $4k a month
the one time payment for a multi year support of software doesn't grow businesses. We just don't see the business of releasing a new version of the same software every two years with some new features and minor refresh, though it still done. It might support a small dev, but you need recurring revenue and subscriptions and ways to increase the ARPU to grow a real business.
angryasian··on United Airlines bans duct tape restraints
Sadly we are at the point that with each cabin crew, there does need to be an assigned security that will be able to properly restrain and use force if necessary. The US passengers in particular are absolutely insane.
angryasian··on United Airlines bans duct tape restraints
lol you people and your whataboutism. Taking down a plane and putting a plane full of people in a dangerous situation is not equivalent to riding a bike without a helmet. How ridiculous
angryasian··on Vaccination blunts, but does not defeat Delta
agreed, always maintaining 6 feet is harder as I forget sometimes or just not paying too much attention
angryasian··on GitHub’s engineering team has moved to Codespaces
I'm not a developer but I thought consistent development environments was something that containers was supposed to solve ?
angryasian··on The Case for Doubling the Size of the US House of Representatives
should have been done a long time ago. The fact that the most populated states votes aren't equal to smaller states is a sham. We should have started reacting to this a long time ago
angryasian··on Vaccine passports would create a hideously divided two-tier society
wow if this is the best we got in terms of conversation in this thread.. we've reached peak ignorance
angryasian··on Google bookmarks won't be supported past September 31, 2021
same, great service.
angryasian··on Los Angeles Covid Surge Being Driven by White, Affluent Neighborhoods
Its really not that hard to believe white entitled rich youths, that never had to worry about anything especially healthcare or being sick for weeks.. wouldn't care about corona virus.

The other odd thing is a lot of the mother's in these areas are very anti vax and especially in Los Angeles tried to go with these holistic alternatives.

angryasian··on Running a CNC machine is definitely about sex and should be demonetized
yes she can dress how she want, but youtube can disable monetizing her videos. thats how it works
angryasian··on Running a CNC machine is definitely about sex and should be demonetized
"advertising friendly" is the right term. If society were to ever change then these guidelines would change.
angryasian··on Job Titles in Startups
just curious why does it even matter ?
angryasian··on Covid has become a media-driven panic disconnected from facts
>If you are afraid of getting infected, you have the option to stay home.

This is elitism and ignorant. Many people need to work. Not every one has this choice.

angryasian··on Triangle UFO over Shanghai June 22 2021
it would have to be a democratic country with these types of capabilities. US, is the obvious choice
angryasian··on “If you want NYC salary, work in NYC” – Morgan Stanley CEO
interesting, a company I worked for always allowed moving, but they did do salary adjustments based on where you moved to.
angryasian··on Stripe rescinded my signed offer
thats terrible. putting your notice in from your current job and finding out you don't have a new job.
angryasian··on NFT sales plummet nearly 90% from their peak as collectibles market cools
I would argue that value is based on some sort of emotional measurement. The idea that a mass produced good, that is a physical item.. is only valuable because of the ability to hold it and the emotion behind it.

whether or not digital good carry that same weight, is left to be seen.

angryasian··on NFT sales plummet nearly 90% from their peak as collectibles market cools
Am I wrong in believing trying to force a sort of artificial scarcity on digital goods, is a flawed concept to begin with ?

Maybe I don't understand NFTs

angryasian··on Amateur Sleuths Broke the Wuhan Lab Story and Embarrassed the Media
FTA:

>None of this proves that the pandemic started in the Wuhan lab

>His career has been a melange of architecture, painting, and filmmaking

so another conspiracy theorist

>One important piece was an extensive Medium post by the Canadian longevity entrepreneur Yuri Deigin that discussed RaTG13

Another conspiracy theorist.

>fueled by chai and using Chinese characters with the help of Google Translate

So apparently was able to translate chinese database of information without knowing Chinese.

This is all nonsense, waste of my time and anyone else's that chooses to read this.
