andthat··on GitHub Actions Are a Problem
Same here, it's so liberating! I'm also using a Magefile to run the pipelines (written in Go) locally.
andthat··on Obsidian 1.0 – Personal knowledge base app
Been using Obsidian for the last year or so, following LYT etc. Life changing software. So, basically everything feels exactly the same to me. I don't understand what this comment is about. Is something light years ahead just because there is a different link colour? For some reason this comment is at the top? HN pessimism has gone too far. Sorry.

If you want Markdown instead of Org Mode, Codebraid is great.

andthat··on Ask HN: Codebases with great, easy to read code?
Kenneth Reitz actually wrote a book called The Hitchhiker’s Guide to Python! which includes a chapter on Reading Great Code.

andthat··on Ask HN: How do you organize your knowledge?
After what I suppose has been 15 years of searching, I have settled on the Zettelkasten method using Doom Emacs (Vim-like keybindings) with org-mode and org-roam (https://www.orgroam.com). I struggle to think of anything that could beat it.
andthat··on Do I really need to get out the soldering-iron again?
You tried balanced cables?
andthat··on Ask HN: The habit adopted in 2016 that had the greatest impact on your health?
Started doing Ashtanga Yoga. Opened up my shoulders and chest which got rid of my constant tension headache after about 5 years.
andthat··on Ask HN: Examples of reliable software you enjoy using
Ableton Live.
andthat··on After ‘The Biggest Loser,’ Their Bodies Fought to Regain Weight
I wonder if it would be possible to ramp down like 10% in calories one year at a time instead of binge dieting like this. We are always looking for quick fixes.
andthat··on Why I killed my standing desk
Yeah. I've been standing about 8 hours every day for over a year now, taking short breaks on a "saddle seat". I dread sitting in an office chair now. I also do weighted squats regularly which probably helps. It takes a long time to adjust, but it was worth it.

I've been meaning to try out a balance board for some extra variation too - something like FluidStance or Wurf Board.

andthat··on How I became a morning person
I use Philips Hue and am very pleased with it. You can schedule it to lower the lights at night and raise them in the morning. Sometimes it wakes me without the alarm.
andthat··on Ask HN: How do you use Reddit daily?
RSS of the monthly top 10 for niche subreddits: https://www.reddit.com/r/mechanicalkeyboards/top/.rss?sort=t...
andthat··on Luna – Hack your sleep
Do you know what it's like to almost never feel fully rested and not being able to do anything about it? My problem is that I just won't fall asleep within a reasonable amount of time on some days. I am willing to try anything because the ROI would be huge.

One thing that has made a noticeable difference has been exercise though.

andthat··on Alternative Evernote Client for Mac OS X
Looks like it'd be much more pleasant to write longer notes in your app, so that's great!

One thing I really dislike about Evernote is the crazy behavior you get after you paste in formatted content.

Personally I would like some kind of markdown support.
