I passed gifted school entrance exam in my home country of Iran when I was a kid. Didn't tell my parents because I didn't like going there and I wanted to have a normal life.
I currently work at Microsoft and have a PhD in Computer Science / Compilers.
This is my own opinion:
- GitHub looks nice but PR merge window between forks is still bad
- GitLab CI is so much more intuitive than GitHub CI and there is a lot of existing codes that you can copy/paste specially if you use Terraform, AWS, K8S
- I am biased, but AzDevops both looks most intuitive, and its pipeline system is the best
I wish your dependency semantics yaml could be converted to Azure pipeline task, job, and stage similar to how typescript converts to javascript.
I am saying this because there are very complicated infrastructural problems that hundreds of people work on at big companies when creating a ci/cd I see you are not focusing on them yet but that DAG logic could be applied to existing azure pipeline yaml.
Additionally, they don't pay the same electricity and water bill that others pay for their data center. They get a discount because they are creating jobs.
Getting streaming to be cost effective starts from decades of R&D investment + getting low cost electricity and water + owning supply chain.
- multi-family houses don't sell well
- no new housing development in years
- people are single and can't combine their income
- house prices have increased a lot more than people's income
I have 7+ years of experience working as a software engineer. Very familiar with C#, .NET, and cloud (Docker, PaaS, and Azure). I'm just searching for interesting projects to contribute to part-time, whether through hands-on coding or design work. Thank you.
