ametrau··on Tor: From the Dark Web to the Future of Privacy
It's the mit press who's publishing it no? I very highly doubt the author has access to tracking decisions made by the org putting the work out.

The quora ranking has to be one of the most morally bankrupt deals in modern history.
ametrau··on The man who killed Google Search?
Maybe even google no longer cares about shilling it (thinking it a loosing battle now).
ametrau··on The man who killed Google Search?
To be fair, he has increased the stock price.

(And created a product and company that is basically universally loathed)

ametrau··on Ask HN: How do you ask users about their pain point?
No. Cold call.
ametrau··on Ask HN: How do you ask users about their pain point?
Not specific advice but are you A/B testing? One very salesy fluffing msg vs one straight to the point?
ametrau··on Meta.ai Oh My
I feel bad for poo-pooing the safety efforts. When it goes properly mainstream it will be amazing the dumb things people will believe about it and try to do with it.

ametrau··on Limitless: Personalized AI powered by what you've seen, said, and heard
I have been wanting this since I first used whisper and saw it’s capability. Nothing you can buy off the shelf is sufficient at the moment and if you diy it’ll be too big.
ametrau··on Embezzlers Are Nice People (2017)
He mentions in the article he uses pseudonyms. But that’s an obvious assumption to make also imo.

ametrau··on WTH is up with the hate on C#?
The criticism is that it crashes regularly and doesn’t have the customisability of vscode (less important).
ametrau··on WTH is up with the hate on C#?
