Does anybody have experience in China? I heard a lot that their train system is much better at this point. So, for example, the same distance will take almost two times less in China.
It was only seven years ago that Google introduced “Transformers,” and today we see a completely different level of LLMs. Do you think this development will stop? Maybe it won’t be LLMs alone that do reasoning better than humans, but five years ago, nobody expected that we would have today’s performance.
I did a small survey around my circle and I got response that I did not believe. The majority of developers are using LLMs at least 10-20% time. There are some developers that more than 40% of their code are written by LLMs.
It would be great if stackoverflow and/or similar companies do the developer survey in the industry.
If we think about the demand and supply of the market, since developers will spend less time writing code, they will have more time to solve other parts of a project. This overall increase in productivity could eventually decrease the number of developers needed. In the past, if a project needed five developers, it could eventually be done by two developers. Hence, the market will need less developers than before.
I'm wondering if there is a research about which percentile of these two groups became rich:
People who started a company vs People who worked for Tech companies.
By the way, student dormitory cost around ~200-300 euros per month. And semester fee costs 300 euros per semester (6months). In total, it makes 3900 euros. So, the train is not the most cost efficient solution, if you are young.
Is not it similar in the west as well? If governments start cutting their budget deficits and subsidies, I assume we are going to have a lot of problems.
Except it is not exact same like a search engine. In search engine, results were generated by other people. Now, it is generated by machine. I think it is a big difference.
I follow Goldman Sachs multiple years and their predictions are always changing. I remember in 2020 after March crash they had this prediction (https://fortune.com/2020/03/20/coronavirus-economic-predicti...) which in reality completely opposite happened. There were multiple other similar cases that their prediction was wrong and after sometime they just changed their prediction.
Is celsius.network similar to crypto.com? I see crypto.com advertisements at many big sport events, including F1, UFC, etc. I am wondering how is their business doing at this current market.
I found a new method which is called “Don’t break a chain!”. For me, this is really helpful method. I have selected few things (for example, practice German, read a book and do sports) and I do it everyday, then I put (x - check mark) to my application. After some time when I see that I already did certain things for some days this motivates me more and I kept doing again and again. I have another rule that I can have one day “free x” per week which means I’m allowed to skip one day per week, but I can still put check mark to my chain. If I don’t have this rule in one day if for some reason I can not do the activity my chain will break and it will be very hard to start again building a
new chain.
In general, 8-hour shifts are more difficult to do than on-call. When you have an on-call duty, you might not get any call at all during the night. However, a shift means you have to be awake during the night which is really bad.
In summary, money first! Imagine that a similar crime is done by Iran. What would be the statement? I think Saudi Arabia does more harm to the world than Iran. The number of salafist (fundamentalist) is increasing everywhere, including in my country and the financial support for them comes from Saudia Arabia.
I've just watched a documentary about the "Sex Robots". I wondering how this will also influence marriages, in general relationships. In the long term, if few people will have relationships, there will be also a few people who have children. I think we will see the effect of the "Sex Robots" after 5-10 years. What do you think?
