Probably disinformation.
alexlesuper··on SpaceX stock erases all its gains and slides below IPO price in intraday trading
This was completely predictable. Anyone with a brain looking at this stock would have shorted it.
alexlesuper··on What Apple and Google are doing to push notifications
The ridesharing apps are the most annoying about this. Yes I want to be notified when my uber driver is almost here to pick me up. No, I don't want a notification about yet another sale.

We have health warnings for food that contains lots of sugar, fat and/or sodium in Canada
alexlesuper··on The unreasonable effectiveness of the Fourier transform
I feel like this is the way we should have learned Fourier and Laplace transforms in my DSP class. Not just blindly applying formulas and equations.

alexlesuper··on New York Is Full. And it’s the housing market’s fault
I think zoning is a big part of the problem. Before WW2, it was much easier to build the housing that new immigrants needed when they arrived. Toda, there is miles of red tape and zoning regulations that keep new neighborhoods from forming and maturing. It's a real shame.

alexlesuper··on Microsoft wins FTC fight to buy Activision Blizzard
I have hope that Blizzard revives the Starcraft franchise. The RTS genre needs some love atm.
alexlesuper··on Arizona limits building as groundwater dries up
Aren't they building a water-hungry semiconductor fab in that state?
alexlesuper··on A Low Cost Approach to Improving Pedestrian Safety with Deep Learning
Not sure "forcing cars to be smaller" is an easy action
alexlesuper··on FDIC Takes over Silicon Valley Bank
The problem is with MBS but not for the same reason.
alexlesuper··on Qualcomm says ARM to prohibit proximity of CPU and 3rd-party modules in one chip
5-10 years isn't that long. I guess it depends on the management philosophy, but if someone told me I would my company would be losing a large market share in 5-10 years I would be panicking.
alexlesuper··on Apple Event Live Blog: iPhone 14, Apple Watch, AirPods Pro, and More Expected
No
alexlesuper··on Heat waves and flooding: Why U.S. infrastructure can't withstand extreme weather
Most people can't afford those options
alexlesuper··on Baby Boom or Bust?
Child care costs are a false excuse. If raising children was entirely free, I think the birthrate would barely nudge higher.
alexlesuper··on Facebook extends its work-at-home policy to most employees
I feel like this is a case of having your cake and eating it too.
alexlesuper··on The global chip shortage is starting to have consequences
Excellent post. Thanks for sharing.
alexlesuper··on How Microsoft rewrote its C# compiler in C# and made it open source (2017)
I think they are really repositioning the company as powering general computing through their cloud platform as opposed to powering general computing through their OS.
alexlesuper··on Teslas Aren't the Future
We're not about to raze suburban cities to the ground, so electric cars are a good in-between.
