Let's get the usual HN comments out of the way:

* Android has had this for N years

* My {cheap phone} is indistinguishable from the new iPhone

* ${X}?

* Walled garden

* iPhones wouldn't be popular without the iMessage lock-in

* Throttling was literally 1984

Aren't they true though?

They are true but it is annoying to filter through such comments to get to the novel stuff

If we wanted novel we probably wouldn't get excited for the 14th iteration of the iPhone

It's bizarre you say that since this site is flooded with "My Apple does it better" posts on anything and everything past any reason. There isn't a single Linux laptop post, a single Android post, a single Windows post or a single Samsung post that wouldn't end up with a number of top voted post declaiming how amaizing the posters life has begun once they paid for their Apple device.

The posts in the other direction have gotten really rare.

Both types of comments are tedious. And I say this having a MacBook, Android phone, and Windows desktop.

Oh, wow, Dynamic Island - how innovative... if you've never seen a non-Apple smartphone!

But you get to smear over the front facing camera every time you use it, that's pretty innovative.

Oh, wow, Always-On Display - so cool, so innovative. Not!

"The best iPhone ever!", "The highest number of transistors in an iPhone!", and so on - of course, it's your latest, most expensive model, duh! Honestly, who decides to buy based on such ridiculous statements?! To me, they are insulting to the audience!

> The best iPhone ever!

I don't know why they even use that phrase. Sounds stupid.

* Headphone jack.

I'm still waiting for the revolutionary laptop Macbook Wheel, hopefully it will run the latest IpadOS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9BnLbv6QYcA - 2009 video

Satellite connectivity is the main thing I’m excited for. I wrecked my mountain bike on a trail with no cell service and it struck me how difficult it would have been to get help if my injuries were worse. I thought about getting a Garmin inReach Mini but they are $350 and another $300 for a 2 year subscription so it’s cool to get similar functionality in a phone for not much more than that. Of course I will need to do more research but this could be a lifesaver.
