IntelliJ (actually Android Studio based on IntelliJ) was my first real IDE and real programming experience. I was so blown away !

Almost 15 years later, nothing else matches the out of the box experience of IntelliJ, atleast for JVM based languages.

This, I don't think enough people pointed this out. We have been sold the "coding is solved" and "software engineering is over" shit by Anthropic folks for a while now. The discourse should have revolved around claude's capabilities and instead it became a Jared vs Andrew thing.

Slack. Hands down.

No issues with the actual product per se, which is quite nice. But the experience while using Slack goes bad exponentially as the team scales if certain usage guidelines are not put in place.
