Edit: Forgot about American Kingpin. That's a more worthy successor.
I believe, simple tools and explorables such as these can help understand human psyche much more than a volumes of monograph exploring human conditions. I think these game-based explorables will be big in the future for explaining deep and difficult concepts.
The pricing is pretty cool. Free for non-commercial and <200k projects. I know what I will be hacking on tonight.
Kudos to the team
Details please.
However, in his another poem, Roll the Dice, he presents something entirely different outlook on the subject of trying. And this is a poem I really admire.
ROLL THE DICE
-------------
If you’re going to try, go all the way.
Otherwise, don’t even start.
If you’re going to try, go all the way.
This could mean losing girlfriends, wives, relatives, jobs and maybe even your mind.
It could mean not eating for three or four days.
It could mean freezing on a park bench.
It could mean jail.
It could mean derision, mockery, isolation.
Isolation is the gift.
All the others are a test of your endurance, of how much you really want to do it.
And, you’ll do it, despite rejection and the worst odds.
And it will be better than anything else you can imagine.
If you’re going to try, go all the way.
There is no other feeling like that.
You will be alone with the gods, and the nights will flame with fire.
DO IT. DO IT. DO IT. All the way
You will ride life straight to perfect laughter. It’s the only good fight there is.I wrote a free course on fundamentals of computing and Python that can get you up to speed on Python. Can you ask them to check it out of it works for them?
Will be happy to help out.

Recently started experimenting with nootropics as a replacement for coffee. Started L-theanine + caffeine capsules. Surprisingly, feel attentive throughout the day and better sleep at night too. Workout is better as well. Don’t know how long these effects will last. But for now, I have quit coffee for good.
The website OP mentions is for someone who already knows how to program well in one or more language and want to take a quick look at another language syntax.
We created a LMS from scratch at Primerlabs.(https://primerlabs.io) Though it had different requirements, because we create conversational courses.
If you are starting with video based platform, I recommend not focusing on creating a LMS from scratch and use tools (zoom, google sheet/form) etc. based on your requirement and create small tools to fit as your grow. For community you can use discord or discourse.
Creating an LMS from the get go is time consuming and does little for your business. My 2 cents.
This exercise inspired me to build my own learning platform from scratch that generates a latex-generated books at the end of course completion. The idea is to have interactive conversations while learning and at the end the personalized book is generated for you. You can see an example of personalized Python book here: https://tinyurl.com/3xfsunj9
You can see that the conversations between learner and Primer highlighted as red sprinkled throughout the book.
The learner doesn't need to write any equations or code examples as it is generated for them. They can further customize the notebook by adding notes or questions using prompts.[1]
Right now there are two free courses on the platform[2], and 5 more would be added by the end of the month. But the goal is create self-paced computer science degree.

You can check them out without signing up and they are also available as free online books. [2]
Yes. That's why we have created guest-login for people to test out the product and if they want to get new course release updates, they can sign up.
Thank you
I am familiar with Andy's Orbit project given that I am a big fan of his writing.
I even linked to his essay "Why Book's don't work"[1] in the introductory blog post[2] as well.

However, what stood out to me was how difficult it is to self study? Universities provide a setting which helps you learn difficult subjects over a longer period of time. Outside of that, no such avenues exist. It’s not just reading up a book or making Anki flash cards(which is quite tedious to be honest) but the process of selecting, vetting what to read next and actually completing it. Or the question are we there yet, with no idea what “there” actually means.
I decided to work on creating a platform where people can actually learn difficult subjects on their own. It’s a bit different than normal video based platform, it actually uses text based conversation to facilitate learning. But I truly believe this is the way forward.
I have written comic based guide about this problem:

We are creating self paced courses on Computer Science and also looking into creating self paced Mathematics/Physics courses as well.
We have released two free courses for everyone to try out at https://primerlabs.io
Learning something is not only reading the course content, that is one part of it (of course). But developing a robust and simple system where you can CRUD your mental model. If you got your note-taking thing figured out, technically you can learn and should be able to learn large amounts of material with sustained and relatively lesser effort. Once again, apologies for going on a tangent.
If anyone is looking to teach themselves CS along with CS Math, then we[1] are creating self-paced computer science courses. Our course content will be available as free online e-books [2] as well as their corresponding (paid) interactive versions and will be started getting released mid-November. We have two free courses as of now.
Although it doesn't start from scratch and we assume that you have got atleast highschool mathematics part covered.
Any idea?
