I like to travel without my "devices" - I DO NOT want something that relies on my cell phone or cell service to work.

I also remember used to be that "Hacker" in the programming context was looked down upon. Meaning, you had no idea what you were doing (you were a "hack") or you were up to no good (black hat).
I've worked with many future predictors though and it's absolutely horrible. Always behind schedule, always seemingly off-task, and their code is a nightmare to maintain.
Gotta admit, I'm a much greater fan of building stuff that works. If you need a gizmo later, add it later.
If you're a beginner, why not start your own project based on something you personally need?
(in reference to the screenshot on this page)
EDIT : nevermind, just noticed this "Currently we are accepting pre-signups based on the demand we decide if we will go further and bring this product to life."
Just get whatever job you can get, try it for a bit, then quit and move onto the next.
Who cares if oil rigs are shutting down, go get a job there and work until you are bored and move on.
The rest of the world, the people who will be paying you money or helping you solve your problem, don't always operate in the same closed off world of email-only communication.
In my work experience : Phone calls or in-person meetings = $$. Email only = lots of emails.
So, in this case - I'd compile a list of realtors and/or letting agencies. Then, call them up and ask them about their pain points.
Not only will you get REAL and valuable info, but you'll be making potential connections. (call them up next week and say, "hey, remember that product I was making to help you? well - I did it, you should check it out")
A room full of programmers will likely never have the answers that you are looking for (in this case).
The design is slick as hell though.
After reading the FAQ I kinda get it...but it would be EXTREMELY helpful to show some sort of example.
That said, I totally get that it's a work in progress - I'm guessing you already know what I'm telling you :)
The fact that you nailed a well paying job out of college should be considered a blessing/miracle/massive gift...not a burden.
Work your ass off for several years and prove your worth. In reality, a degree means almost nothing in the workforce...it's just the price of admission.
Real world experience is worth more than gold.
Prove you have what it takes over the long term - and THEN start bitching about not being on cool projects :P
This is not an "if" it's a "when".
They have been in bed together for years now. This is coming from someone who works specifically in the Vacation Rental industry.
Welcome to the workforce.
I'm downloading it right now.
This is very relevant to me, my wife and I are planning a 3 week Europe trip for next summer with our two small children.
Every single programming book I own, that I've actually read, is covered in hand written notes.
I also tape post-it notes onto important pages with more notes as bookmarks.
It's free. Easy. Random access. Read/write friendly. "No sign-up required".
They just took it. I happened to have a little in savings, and had just gotten my paycheck the day they took everything...so they got a decent amount (relative to me at least).
Also, once they decide to take your money it's nearly impossible to get it back.
