I haven’t read the article, but the headline alone to me seems alarming, $1,500 a month is a lot of money for only 2k rps.
I’m so used (conditioned) to working in an open office plan that my desk faces a wall with my back to the room. Idk, it helps me focus.
With guidance and learning we can cooperate and work well with people.
Cannabis is complicated and we don’t yet have much research with humans due to Federal policy in the US.
At the end of the day, it’s just another layer of complexity that could be a liability.
Do you need to use it? No. Like with everything else, it is a tool that requires time to master.
B2 worked great and the pricing is indeed excellent, but the volume of raw data to backup over broadband is just not realistic.
I think it would be better to physically mail a drive for archiving raw footage, or use tap drives.
Arpanet as a project built upon existing ideas to create a wide-area network. Yes, this project began in the US and it built upon the work of others.
I wasn’t there and I’m not a historian, but when I try to understand the facts I see many nationalities and countries having contributed to what we ultimately call the Internet.
But I digress, Arpanet was the first WAN and so I guess I see your point.
I built a streaming statistics server that ingests data from edge nodes and aggregates the data into a memory database.
The server has an API interface and one of the endpoints will stream all the data in either a compact or pretty JSON format.
example of the datasets: millions of unique unordered keys with each key containing a list of time series data.
The memory overhead to stream Gigabytes of data is limited to a couple of MB (buffers for encoding and writing).
I ended up having to write my own JSON encoder to achieve the small memory overhead, JSON formatting, and write performance.
I too ponder the meaning.
