Both the youtube channel and the discord for the project is active.
abricot··on Windows 11’s first update makes AMD CPU performance even worse
"Windows 10 is 10 years old"

It's a rolling release, so with 21H1 it's only half a year old.

And I don't care what they do. It will be the last Windows for me.

abricot··on Spacehey: A Space for Friends
Isn't it wrong to say that you, as user, are bound by their privacy policy. That would be something the site itself is bound by.

abricot··on Amazon Europe will require a return address in the country of purchase
I most european countries it is also prohibitly expensive for customers to send something to other coutries. So in turn we world only buy cheap shit from Amazon that we knew we wouldn't care to return anyway.

Naturally this limits the opportunities for Amazon.

You don't find them worth the effort, but you wrote your own?
abricot··on European Payments Initiative (EPI)
I'm not sure what you're asking. Facebook Marketplace just list items, payment does not happen through it.
abricot··on European Payments Initiative (EPI)
In Denmark we have an app called mobilepay. Almost everyone trading peer to peer in e.x. Facebook marketplace and in local and in flea markets prefer using it over cash, especially when sending parcels, as you have something to go by if someone scams you.

Also pretty much no one has cash any more.

We are digging ever deeper for life that we can extinct.
abricot··on Replit used legal threats to kill my open-source project
What does copying the code base have at all to do with this situation? Who are now creating a straw man argument?

We're not talking about IP. The company had nothing technical that the writer stole from them.

What he did was not even comparable as a product to what they created!

"the ethics of trying to open source a similar project to your old employers product is morally ambiguous at best" would have applied if he had made a product at all!

abricot··on Replit used legal threats to kill my open-source project
Create a competitor? Maybe you should give the article a read, mkay?
abricot··on Replit used legal threats to kill my open-source project
Did you not get the part about him being an intern.

Everything you write would apply for someone on vp level with opportunities and stock option.

Get down from there.

abricot··on Ask HN: What tool/method do you use to maintain your bookmarks?
I'm using the Firefox extension right now. It works fine.

Most likely they are free apps, but the features they want are in-app purchases.
abricot··on Chia surpasses 1 exabyte of hard drive space
That just means that it works for _you_ right _now_.
abricot··on Ask HN: Good Sources of News in Australia?
From the little I've watched ABC on youtube they are pretty biased. Very pro UK and anti EU.
abricot··on Denmark to permanently cease using AstraZeneca vaccine
That is a guess made by one person. The article doesn't indicate that they really say down and did the math.
abricot··on 68k.news: A Netscape 1.1 makeover of Google News
This is great. Google News has been unavailable in my area for years.
