abluecloud··on Monday.com Files IPO
I used to see their advert come up in certain places and I actually clicked through once to check the footer if they were owned by Slack. Loading the page didn't help because as it's in the similar market sector.
abluecloud··on OVH CEO Octave Klaba speaking about the incident [video]
a functioning fire suppression system would have probably been better but second to that i guess a mic would be a good investment

abluecloud··on Wikimedia narrows down the app sendin 90M requests to a pic of flower

abluecloud··on Robinhood Raises Another $2.4B from shareholders
not quite the same as whatsapp, you're isolated. you dont need your friends to move, it's something you can do on your own.

"reports" that i'd read said that fidelity were getting something like 600% increase in signups (who knows if thats because of this movement or because people hate RH).

abluecloud··on Robinhood, in Need of Cash, Raises $1B from Its Investors
thanks a lot, that makes perfect sense.

Can anyone answer me this question: if they needed to cover themselves from the margins that people were using, why didn't they keep enabled the ability to buy shares with cash?
abluecloud··on Telegram publishes users' locations online
the warning message tells them _exactly that_.
abluecloud··on Google outage – resolved
that was a bad example. i guess the comment was trying to say "how do you account for partial service degradations".

(i dont think SLAs are BS btw)

abluecloud··on Apple requests to remove WebAssembly support in a-Shell

abluecloud··on Slack outage: Degraded performance and connectivity issues

abluecloud··on Slack Degraded and Connectivity Issues

abluecloud··on Microsoft to acquire ZeniMax Media and Bethesda Softworks for $7.5B
microsoft are seeing that the money is going to be made in a subscription model for games. by purchasing the studios it makes it much easier for them to bundle games (possibly with exclusivity) with their gamepass.

i know i'm more likely to subscribe to gamepass (and keep it running for years) vs. the 1/2 games i buy a year.

abluecloud··on BitTorrent v2
do two identical compressions produce the same output? if so, wouldn't the same thing happened just against the compressed files?

It's not uncommon to see multiple .torrent files with the same content FYI.

abluecloud··on University of Utah pays $457k to ransomware gang

abluecloud··on An Instagram bug showed ‘camera on’ indicator for iOS 14 without taking pictures
The full wording:

“We found and are fixing a bug in iOS 14 Beta that mistakenly indicates that some people are using the camera when they aren’t,”

makes it sound like the bug is in iOS, which is exactly how they want it to sound. and they want people like above to confuse make it seem like facebook did nothing wrong. facebook never does anything wrong.

abluecloud··on A new and improved Twitter API
so the api is literally backwards
abluecloud··on Git commit accepts several message flags (-m) to allow multiline commits
I used to think the same, then I learned a bit more about how to use git on the cli. I'm not saying you haven't, I'm just saying for me, I was able to perform tasks quicker with a few tweaks.

Things i've done to do this

- replace default diff tool (I use https://github.com/so-fancy/diff-so-fancy) - added many alias for commonly used commands and ones I often forget - use `git add -p` (or `g a -p` in my setup) which goes through changes file by file, allowing me to add bits i want (this was the main thing I loved about a GUI based git client)

abluecloud··on 1:60 scale Boeing 777 made from manila folders
this guy is hilarious.
abluecloud··on macOS Catalina 10.15.5
What a childish attitude.

Some people like cheap laptops. Some people like expensive laptops. Some people, like you, obsess over people's choices.

An, apparently, if you make a choice (the wrong one, in your eyes), you're not allowed to complain when things go wrong.

Jeeze.

abluecloud··on Plane drops to 928 feet after autopilot set to 0 altitude

it's the main website for the UK government, not sure if mistaken or a sly little dig at the UK.

abluecloud··on Dragons' Den winner has £100,000 funding withdrawn
Probably why they pulled out. The show is a bit misleading. You can only go by what the people are saying. For instance, I'm sure at some point the dragon asked "are there any products like this cheaper on the market that do the same thing", at which point you can only believe their answer there and then.

I'm not surprised that he pulled out. Just wish my dad did the same.
