a012··on Fujitsu launches made-in-Japan next-generation CPU FUJITSU-MONAKA
Quick Google result is it’s basically a Neoverse V2 system, so yeah, armv9.

Edit: it’s funny because this article from 2021 mentioned Fujisu precisely https://siliconangle.com/2021/03/30/arm-unveils-armv9-archit...

a012··on How GLM built its own inference infrastructure
> what prevents US AI labs from doing the same level of software optimization?

Because they don’t have to. Most of the time money would buy you newest and/or more hardwares so there’s low/minimal interest to optimize the code or approach.

a012··on I added a non-wi-fi Mitsubishi AC to Home Assistant
Ha, I’m having the Hitachi as well
a012··on I added a non-wi-fi Mitsubishi AC to Home Assistant
This is kinda unrelated but I learned while researching for my new AC that there are two Mitsubishi brands/companies, one is Mitsubishi Electric and the other is Mitsubishi Heavy Industrial. And their ACs are not the same, so just saying Mitsubishi AC probably could lead to problem. The one OP has is Mitsubishi Electric by the first photo.
a012··on DeepSeek v4.1 flash runs 23 seconds/token on a 2020 16gb M1 Mac Mini
You almost got me, it’s 2.6 tokens/minute
a012··on Rust Is Tier-1 Language at Microsoft
It’s all /skills now
a012··on DeepSeek v4.1 Flash
I’ve just tried, it’s now my new favorite Flash model
a012··on DeepSeek v4.1 Flash
Waiting this model to be on openrouter (with other providers) to test out. In my use case, the GLM 5.3 Flash is the current cheapest and intelligent Flash model, but it’s dog slow at 13tps so I have to leave it run for many minutes then check again then correct it again
a012··on Automattic's board forces CEO Matt Mullenweg into leave of absence
See his other comments in HN in the previous wp “incident”, simply said he _is_ nut
a012··on Decapitating a MacBook (2025)
It sounds crazy but pulling >100A from low voltage battery is kinda normal for a 6kw solar inverter (in 220-250V countries). It needs a pair of 50mm2 wires which is thick as a rope though.
a012··on IBM Bob

a012··on IBM Bob
Nobody got fired for using IBM Bob
a012··on Discovery of a new OpenAI agent message board
It’s because you sandbox in a VM doesn’t mean you give it admin access to the VM
a012··on Qwen 3.8 27B available on Cerebras at 1500 tokens/s
Unusable is too stretch IMO, you can still use it in tiny tasks that’ll respond almost instantly
a012··on ChatGPT outage – Resolved
Why don’t you have a good time? I insist you have a good time
a012··on Muse Spark 1.3
Muse Spark may be competitive in capabilities but it’s not for serious works since Meta trains on your prompts so no ZDR, in contrast Chinese provider like Z.AI promises ZDR which is more attractive to big corps.
a012··on Berlin is being blackmailed by hackers
There’s no information of what was leaked besides ~5TB of data? And since they don’t intend to pay then they’ll just pretend nothing happened?
a012··on Boot a Virtual iPhone via Apple's Virtualization.framework
You can test your application, game, website without a physical phone?
a012··on GLM-5.3 is now open-weight
My second favorite model by now is GLM 5.3 flash which is very capable of day to day task. I use it as the main model and GLM 5.3 for task that is more complex
a012··on ClickHouse winning this soo called observability war?
No? Clickhouse sounds cool for the database but on the observability world there are more than just a db, see LGTM stack and Grafana Cloud, you’re still far behind Grafana
a012··on GitHub Outage Tracker: Is GitHub Cooked?
You are missing the compliance. Enterprise is mostly compliance, making job done is just second
a012··on GLM-5.3-Flash Intelligence, Performance and Price Analysis
Can’t wait to try this out, and the only missing from this model for me is Image input support
a012··on Z.ai confirms Ox Alpha is a new GLM-series model and will release its weights
China is GMT+8
a012··on Show HN: Vanilla OS 3 Reunion – Immutable and Reproducible Operating System
I have the same experience, despite the vanilla in name the OS was shitting itself on older computer. I miss the ClearLinux from Intel that ran really smooth.
a012··on hdiutil is deprecated in macOS 27 Golden Gate
Not working in a $4.5T company but often I found that people rather don’t _want_ to maintain the code than can’t
a012··on Linux 7.3 improves performance when running out of vRAM
The only Windows update that made me “eagerly await” is the Windows XP SP2.
a012··on Why does Opus 5 feel worse to work with?
I dont know what ASD-STE100 is before but I use the exact instruction (without the ASD code) to Claude since the very beginning, and with Opus 5 I have to remind it very often to rephrase the documents
