WeniTheElder··on Stern-Gerlach Experiment
I still dont grasp what a spin of an electron is. The image of a spinning sphere doesnt help - as if you can roll this sphere you will see there is no different spin - it has only one spin direction and you cant differ two spheres apart by its spin. Even worse if I would consider a point - how should it spin as it is the same in every direction of the space. As it is described by mathematical spinors (tensor) I still would like to see an equivalent in my sphere of experience to grasp it completely. (spin plus minus 1/2). Odd enough the spin can combine and couple with the angular momentum it feels like the spin should be something that ought be visualised.

WeniTheElder··on If the universe is expanding, are we expanding too?
Between two charged particles (electric or maybe neutral particles by gravity) is some force. Moving them away will require energy. So e.g. you put two charged particles in this expanding space, the ongoing expansion will cause some energy which can be harvested? Can we build our "Zero point modul" which generates energy out of "nothing".

We dont even need particles for this effect since this is based on virtuell particles which ghostly appear and disappear (the Casimir effect)? Or maybe a proper medium would suit better (more particles more energy from expansion) e.g. the densest object like a black hole in this expanding space machine?

We observe from a far distant star the red shifted spectrum. This is explained by the expansion of the galaxy and the expanding room between us and this star. So the photons coming from there have a red-shifted and hence lesser engery. What has happend to the energy of the photon? Where's it gone to?
