It seems strange to me that with all the talk about the importance of quitting smoking that Tabex is not well known. A course of treatment lasts 25 days, costed me €35 for the whole course, you can buy it online, you stop smoking on the 5th day, and it makes quitting a lot easier. Really.
It does still require motivation in certain situations when you used to smoke before (going out drinking, clubbing, etc.) but it's still much easier than with anything else we tried, and after the first couple of weeks your brain rewires itself. Five months in, going out with friends who still smoke, we were both not tempted to take a cigarette from them. This is huge for us.
If you really want to quit smoking and everything else failed so far, give it a try.
If you do buy online, just make sure it's not a counterfeit. I don't have any advice regarding that, we got ours at a pharmacy on a trip to Poland.
Maybe there’s still another way for scalpels to game this system, I don’t know, but I’ve been to a few concerts in Paris and I’ve never seen scalpels hanging outside the venue selling tickets, which would be the norm in Germany, so maybe the system does work.
I think it’s interesting and asked good questions, but that it would be more suitable for non-developers who really don’t know where to start. For me, it missed some of the aspects that that I was able to spec myself as an experienced developer.
I’m not going to use it myself, but I wish you the best of luck.
Like other people here mentioned, I found that the best way to deal with it, when it does bother me, is to have another background sound that stops you from focusing on it.
I'd recommend trying to "listen" to Sleep, an 8.5 hour album by Max Richter written to be played while you sleep, although I also sometimes play it in the background during the day since it helps me switch off and focus on what I'm working on.
You start chatting to someone, you gauge their reaction, the chemistry between you, and take it from there if you feel that there is interest from the other side as well. It's probably better if you don't even ask them out on your first chat or the first day.
I wouldn't think it's a career risk to start chatting to someone at work, unless you continue doing so even after they've shown signs that they are not interested in talking to you, and then they're definitely not interested in dating you either.
I'm a gay man, who goes out pretty often, and although we gays are much more direct with each other, I have never gone up to someone and asked "do you want to go out with me?" or had someone ask me that as a first question. That would be weird even for us, who are okay with going to the dark room with someone we've only met three minutes before.

Seems to be the perspective of his contemporaries as well.
Firstly, the article is not talking about taking pictures of women on the street but rather in changing rooms and locker rooms, which is a crime. Second, even if you would be comfortable if someone took a picture of you naked without your knowledge and posted it online doesn't mean that other women and men are.
"Is it ok for the same woman to appear in both these news?"
Yes. It was her decision to pose topless in public, and it doesn't give anyone the right to spy on her in privacy and take pictures of her.

I use the same password for all the websites on the first category. It should be at least 8 characters long, consists of a made up word with some numbers and characters. Example: 7%Frifells. I drop the special character on websites that don't allow them in passwords and then it's a matter of failing to log in once and trying without it.
I use a different "xkcd" password (https://www.xkcd.com/936) for every website on the second one. Those are essentially catchphrases which I end up associating with the website I use them for. They consist of several words with numbers and special characters (using the example in xkcd, mine would be correctHorse?1batterystaple!).
So, I have to memorise about 8 passwords, all which make sense to me. In addition I have a password reminder file which consists of the website URL and the first two/three characters of the password. I don't bother adding completely unimportant websites from the first category.
If my password from category 1 gets compromised then it's a bit of a hassle to change the password on all the websites on the files, but no harm done. If a password from category 2 gets compromised then it doesn't affect the other websites.

I wish a lot of websites would realise they can be password-less. Pinterest is a good example. I have never posted anything, they don't have any personal or financial information from me and if and the only reason I registered was because I wanted to search something there once, and they made me register for that. Same goes to Quora and many other websites. I think all those should allow registering without a password but limit the functionality of those accounts.

I believe the friend is eager to learn and loves plants himself, but but maybe finding a friend who doesn't kill their own plants would be a good start...
Sure, most plants will not die within a week, but a lot will suffer enough and will take months to recover.
Plants need a schedule to do well and some are very sensitive if they get too much or too little water too often or too late.
A two or three of our plants died while the friend was looking after them in the past due to under watering (and we were gone for only about a week every time). So last time when we came back we found most pots were flooded with water, which to most plants is just as bad as not being watered.
It's only now that I think about how this small favour we ask of our friend can be stressful to him.
Anyway, I'm intrigued to hear your story.
