What else would you do?
EDIT: Actually, the answer is kind of obvious now that I've pondered it a little bit. We can only hope that a deeper integration is in the pipeline.
That's not to say that the overall state of FPS campaigns isn't disappointing. I'm looking forward to seeing if Respawn (the Infinity Ward founders' new studio) can do anything to reverse that trend.
That having been said, Frank Miller is a far-right reactionary. I admire most of his work[1], but, quite frankly, I find his opinions and rhetoric to be frightening and dangerous.

If people are interested in setting up a Bay Area meetup sometime soon, we should look into creating a group.
I don't believe I referred to anything regarding the recent recession or who was to blame. My problem with the repeal of Glass-Steagall has more to do with the overwhelming conflict of interest it could create within these institutions (i.e., using deposits to grant credit to the investment arms for making risky bets). On the flip side, you could argue that proper regulation could stymie that risk, but I'd rather just not leave it up to chance (read: politicians). That's my opinion - you may feel differently.
I actually like Microsoft's Metro UI - I think it looks really good and makes a fair amount of design sense. I realize there are people who are with me and people who aren't. Now, that's not to say that I would or wouldn't take a WinPho over Android or iOS - I just like the way it looks and operates.
As a phone/tablet OS, it's great. But shoving it onto desktops this quickly is shortsighted (and, knowing what I know about Microsoft, probably a result of a bit of hubris). By forcing Windows users to make the switch to Metro (which is completely different than explorer.exe), Microsoft is going to create a lot of user backlash - it's a completely different computing experience than what Windows users have come to expect.
What Apple gets that Microsoft doesn't is that, while both agree that simpler, more elegant UIs are the future of computing, you can't just force an entrenched desktop user to switch to a mobile interface overnight. Lion introduced a number of iOS like features to OS X, but it didn't completely reinvent the wheel like Microsoft is trying to do with Win8.
Why would Apple pollute the sublime, simple experience of using Siri with advertisements? It would be uncharacteristic - it's not like a company like Apple needs to do anything like this when they generate revenue through so many other streams.
In the face of all the rumors of possible updates, an S version of what we already had is underwhelming. In the past Apple has done a great job of strategically leaking info to the press when rumors were getting out of hand (iPad 2 Retina Display is a recent example) - that did not happen this time.
But you're right, it will be interesting to see what happens to TechCrunch now without MG in a regular contributing position. With Arrington and Paul Carr gone, most of TechCrunch's editorial "stars" have moved on.
