Some pages have horizontal scrollbar on my mobile firefox, such as this https://able.bio/DavidLandup/password-encoding-with-spring-s...

Also, why .bio? Sounds like biotech web site.

Nreal has already eyeglass form factor: https://www.engadget.com/2019/01/08/nreal-light-mixed-realit...

The protesters are using bluetooth mesh apps like Bridgefy and firechat to share data even if internet is down.

Thank you! Because of Keystone, I have decided to treat Google Chrome as malware. I won't install it unless I really have to. One reason is that I have to test websites on Chrome. I can either run it on a virtual machine or disable the updater as you suggest.

Trump: "Apple will not be given Tariff waiver, or relief, for Mac Pro parts that are made in China" https://mobile.twitter.com/realdonaldtrump/status/1154774656...

Is this a win or loss for Trump? (probably a win because he always wins)

What could go wrong? https://www.wsbtv.com/news/local/helicopter-crashes-in-north...

Instead of switching macOS to arm, they could promote iPadOS to laptops. They already added a file manager and advanced windowing to it.

Most software EULA say they are non-transferable, but that court order overrules it. That restriction has become meaningless. Interesting!

Which european court decision do you mean? Is it EU wide?

I know it's illegal to upload which includes sharing a torrent. But it has been legal to download movies and games. For instance from Internet Archive, which has lots of music and games.

I love Affinity Designer! I used to use Inkscape, but it has a horrible user interface (typical FOSS software). Paying $50 to buy Affinity Designer with a decent UI is ok for me.

It's great that corporates pay developers for writing open source software! I'm much happier today about open source than in 90ies, when no one was getting paid for writing it.

Yeah, there is no need for low refresh rate eink. Lcd doesn't consume much power and is readable. I've had several lcd watches and their batteries lasted for years.

I don't like the clumsy look of Magic Leap or Hololens 2. Nreal has created glasses which look like sunglasses. That's the future. I could wear them in public. https://www.theverge.com/circuitbreaker/2019/1/9/18176083/nr...

Linux is the best thing that has happened for China and Russia. It helps them escape the Microsoft/Apple/Google control. Even North Korea has its own linux distro to avoid US software. Desktop linux will be a reality.

McDonalds goy boycotted for selling halal meat. There's also facebook group to boycott any manufacturer who sells halal meat. Me don't understand. It's not away from normal customers, so??

I also like lasers, umbrellas and face masks against face recognition. Someone should collect these ideas to some web page as "Little Brother's Handbook".

Would it be possible to fork Brave and change it to use US Tether, Libra or some other stable coin?

Even better: fork it, create your own cryptocurrency like BAT, make ICO and become a millionaire!

There is no reason everybody to use BAT.

Is Axios a reputable source?

The better option is that Denmark buys USA. They could make it a great country. Really, Danish are open for that: https://www.newyorker.com/humor/borowitz-report/denmark-offe...

Archive.org could also host them. Their mission is to provide universal access to all knowlegde.

I have never understood why they can host so much copyrighted material.

Android and iPhone app stores are already saturated. The app store for HarmonyOS isn't. This could be a good opportunity for new mobile app developers.

Huawei announces their own HarmonyOS, which can replace Android: https://www.androidauthority.com/huawei-harmonyos-1017511/

Pixar seems to love the new Mac Pro and metal: This new machine clearly shows Apple is delivering on the needs of professionals at high-end production facilities like Pixar.” https://www.apple.com/newsroom/2019/06/pro-app-developers-re...

Is this somehow connected to processing cryptocurrencies? This is under ethereum repo.

How do you get payments from your customers? Most payments are processed by US companies.

People are worried, but they don't respond by stopping climate change, because it doesn't directly affect them. Instead they see people migrating from south to USA and Europe.

The response in USA is that people ask Trump to build a wall. In Europe, people vote for populistic right wing parties who promise to stop migrations.

They don't want to fix the root cause, which is that south is becoming inhabitable by climate change.

There will be wars. Some say that the Syrian War was affected by climate change https://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2015/03/150302-syri...

Apple should make the touch bar larger like Asus had done: https://mashable.com/article/asus-zenbook-pro-duo-dual-scree...

Also Rust uses strings for asm. It can't be bad.

Does puppeteer work with Safari and MS browsers or is it another Chrome only tool (and now Firefox)?
