I actually experience this in the exact reverse from the way you are proposing. I’d argue that this is specifically referred to as “content” because it is generated en masse, as opposed to something carefully crafted. This is they way I see most “content” on the internet. For instance, TikTok video that is made in a minute? Content. Pixar film that takes >100 minutes of work for 1 minute of film? Art.

Definitely do not show them Spirited Away as a young child. I was permanently scarred (emotionally) by the grotesqueness of no-face as a child (~5). It really depends on the movie, but the ones with more mature themes should be left until they are at least in their teens. As a blanket statement, I would not generally say Ghibli films are as suitable for really young children as Disney/Pixar films are.

No, stories in general are not overrated. Studio Ghibli’s films are.

TheRealNGenius··on Should notes be end-to-end encrypted?
Assuming that you're not a famous A-list celebrity/influencer or something, or some high ranking exec at a publicly traded company, I'd wager that the answer is no. In fact, most headlines phrased as questions can be answered in the negative.

Quite simply, no one cares about you, much less your notes.

TheRealNGenius··on The AI Battle
Agree, this is like those AI anime character generator game startups that YC seems to enjoy investing in so much. They think they can leverage AI face generation to "somehow" make a game/experience/show/app/nft/whatever when that is the extent of their tech. With no consideration at all of any of the actual work that goes into making anything actually valuable. But I mean, who's the idiot - the company that boasts these claims, or the ones giving them money?

TheRealNGenius··on Love Song to Costco
that doesn't make sense. It says that the "typical shopper" is one very specific gender/age/income/racial category.

What the heck does that mean? Am I supposed to believe that the most common category of people are that category, or that those attributes are the more common ones? I'm positive I see an almost even split of male/female when I go to Costco. Otherwise, that wording is jacked by any metric.
