But nothing will catch the amazing place there, I visited this lake with my family there 2 years ago and the wonderful scents permeated the valley almost like magic. In my hotel room the jar of honey we bought lasted 4 days.

How about manipulating Oxidation of your tea cup? I add a squeeze of lemon and the tea lightens up in color, and it lasts longer before it tastes stale. In addition to lemon, I would add either cardamom,or cinnamon, or event mint leaves, and the over-oxidation that would make my cup of tea go stale will be delayed. I am that lazy tea drinker who is OD'ing on tea/j.
'NATO response: This latest escalation could see Article 4 invoked by NATO, which means alliance needs to mobilize and may increase its military presence in countries on Russia’s and Ukraine’s borders. We don’t dare guess where the risks lie here, but it heightens danger.' Saxo Bank
It is very tragic, and so many refugees will be hitting the borders in Europe:Ukrainians in Russia ' 2.5 million as of December 2014.[5] Over 420,000 asylum-seekers from Ukraine had registered in Russia as of November 2017.
I think the model in Finland is better because it rewards talented teachers. Those teachers, if you have a favorite one, would excel at devising ways to simplify complicated things, I think.
Imprisoning debtors has been a request from British banks to operate in the country. Yes, banks wield vast powers but when you are playing with billions you gotta pay to play .I lost my life savings in that crisis, for no reason at all on my part. It was the greed of banks and many fraudsters .
I was rightfully imprisoned in Dubai, which is very rare to admit, I was drunk on a public beach and kissing my girlfriend in Ramadan, in jail for 24 hours, every prisoner there claimed to be innocent, even a Russian mafia thug, that was as hilarious as this article form the Economist.
For those who did not bother to read the article, it is about fraud during the financial crisis. I feel sad for Cornelius and wish he is set free. As a resident of Dubai for 30 years, I am always curious to learn things that I may have missed about 'my city', yet this article is misleading in many ways, its few first paragraph where it states that Ryan Cornelius 'thought the authorities had simply made a mistake;' Really? He has taken a loan to complete a project in Dubai yet he took the money for a project in Pakistan. Later the writer says'Cornelius’s business forged invoices for items such as furniture and building materials to match the investment capital being funnelled to the Plantation. A later civil case, brought by dib in Britain, concluded that Cornelius was “fully implicated” in the creation of fabricated invoices to perpetrate a fraud'.
The Economist used to be a decent publication with great journalism, unfortunately that is not the case anymore.
In Syrai Badia, is a region of desert, semi-desert and steppe covering 500,000 square meters, Bedduin is mostly derived from Badia or primitive in Arabic.
There are categories for the level of difficulty for each language according to the State dept, the fifth level for example is for the most difficult ones: Arabic (Levantine, Iraqi), Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Pashto- you will need 64 weeks, while for French, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish 26 weeks will do.
In Syria, whistling has been essential to those hobbyists who raise birds, to communicate and command them "“Hemeimati (Pigeon fancier)”
If you have ever visited Damascus and its countryside, Homs, Aleppo or any other Syrian city, you should have noticed swarms of pigeons hovering over the city, swaying right and left, up and down responding to the signs of a person standing on a roof.
This person would be carrying a long stick in his hand with a black or white piece of cloth on its tip, waving it, as if telling the flying swarm to fly higher or fly down towards him, often with a “whistle” https://english.enabbaladi.net/archives/2016/08/mysterious-w...
Cars spread pollution in many mysterious ways, take the tires for example" According to a 2017 study, about 550 tons of airborne particles from tires are produced annually. Further a study released in July pointed to tires and brake pads as the source of about 550,000 tons of ocean microplastic emissions annually.5 Oct 2020 - Microplastic pollution has polluted the entire planet, from Arctic snow and Alpine soils to the deepest oceans. The particles can harbour toxic chemicals and harmful microbes and are known to harm some marine creatures. People are also known to consume them via food and water, and to breathe them, But the impact on human health is not yet known.
Earlier work suggested microplastic particles could be blown across the world, but the new study is the first to quantify the effect. The scientists concentrated on fine tyre and brake dust as there is better data on how these are produced than tiny microplastics from other sources, such as plastic bottles and packaging.https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2020/jul/14/car-tyre...
2 years before the iPod, there was the NOMAD digital audio player designed and sold by Singaporean Creative Technology they had offices in Japan, but they promoted MP3, and even encouraged ripping CDs. Sony et al did not like it, Steve Jobs came to their rescue with his thing.

I am not sure if this has anything to do with the clusters' orientation, but usually the soles of the dead's feet would face the Qibla (direction towards the holy Ka'bah)that is known one of Islamic burial customs.

But that would is a bit of a stretch, some rich countries, say UAE (Dubai) and Saudi Arabia, do not have a direct access to " super fast nodes, they connect through Singapore, while countries in the Mediterranean basin have better access, yet it does not give them that big edge.
Google also used to hide this Secret U.S. Drone Base in Saudi Arabia, yet MS maps showed it.
Which could show who is more chummy with the government.
'The image of the airfield, available in Bing Maps, would be almost impossible to discover randomly. At moderate resolutions, satellite images of the area show nothing but sand dunes. Only on close inspection does the base reveal itself. In Google's catalog of satellite pictures, the base doesn't appear at all."

It all depends on immersion and motivation, if you desperately need to learn a language you will work hard to get there. Immersion will expose your listening skill to recognize unique sounds in the target language. That is not to say it makes it easier for you to utter them, it just helps with the early comprehension. I met an Urdu speaking taxi driver who spoke English and Arabic as if he was a native speaker of both, after 6 months of merely listening to the radio in his car.
That is common in many other Asian countries, in Indonesia, some would bake fish as it is without anything, then you would add whatever you want when you take your cut to your plate, salt and other spices. It is a legitimate way of thinking about purity of foods and drinks I think. Coffee connoisseurs would not dilute the coffee with sugar nor cardamon, in the Levant for example.
Here is this free course that grants a certificate for the University of Helsinki, https://www.elementsofai.com/ it is for beginners, some banks are using it for their staff too.
The eco system thing is one, the second is: Geopolitics, which plays a big role in that, I mean with the huge US influence the Silicon Valley companies can be global trendsetters, think of the FCC standing in the global, telecom sector.US allies could not ban UBER although they hate it, but they have to play the American (open market) rules. There were many superior products by non-American companies, Creative Technology got the first portable audio player, years ahead of Apple, yet they underestimated the value of the American market and spearheaded MP3 with total disregard for copyright issues (Napster days), Russian companies produce good stuff-Kaspersky et al- but they do not have the full "Eco system".
I think there is a more basic need for cravings which could be the shortage of minerals, iron deficiency causes some cravings:"Craving and chewing ice (pagophagia) is often associated with iron deficiency, with or without anemia, although the reason is unclear. At least one study indicates that ice chewing might increase alertness in people with iron deficiency anemia." https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/iron-deficien...
It was certainly not an 'existential threat', I mean 12 million Africans were taken as slaves between the 16th and 19th century, about 1.5 million died on board ship, Yet Africa do not name these nations as an existential threat.
