TeHCrAzY··on $250,000-a-day Minecraft strikes indie game gold
If you are in Australia, try simplicity.classexception.com :)
TeHCrAzY··on $250,000-a-day Minecraft strikes indie game gold
The free weekend was horrific for the community.

I run the (I think) main public server in Australia: the server ended up being a war ground, with impersonators causing havoc. Only now is the normal community of users reappearing, the normal fun state of affairs being restored: the "free" users wouldn't have had a fun experience :/

TeHCrAzY··on Visual Studio Add-Ins (Poll Result)
I think its both. I find it hard to work without resharper, yet it is a bloated, buggy pile of crap at times.
TeHCrAzY··on Mr. 'Deling' Responds to 'I make 500K/yr and am not rich'
Thats more "spare" cash in a week than I pay in rent over a fortnight.
TeHCrAzY··on 4Chan To Target RIAA Next
If you live in America, sure.
TeHCrAzY··on New ASP.NET Security Vulnerability could allow access to web.config
Reading into it, it is not enough to just have CustomErrors on to mitigate the risk. There are some pretty detailed instructions, involving pushing all errors to a single page, with a random delay embedded in the page script.

They seem intentionally vague about how someone can use this to get asp.net to dump the web.config however.

TeHCrAzY··on AMD and Valve Partner for Driver Updates via Steam
Its not forced, I went through it today, and then promptly rolled back to 10.3, the last (somewhat) working driver from ATI/AMD.
TeHCrAzY··on Ask HN: whither Billmonk?

A comment has been posted on their blog.

TeHCrAzY··on Ask HN: What's up with this accusation of HN censorship? (blog.nodejitsu.com)
A prime example would be many of the negative comments regarding scribd.
TeHCrAzY··on Bill Gates: "Someone decided to trash the one part of Windows that was usable?"
Microsoft Security Essentials: Not sure what you have against this. I happily suggest it for all my friends and family when they ask for anti virus. Its free, and effective, and doesn't cause headaches (ala Norton, etc).
TeHCrAzY··on Ask HN: Did Apple create Ping to eventually compete with Facebook?
I highly doubt they would jump into the water and try to compete with Amazon. It's way to direct, I really don't see them being able to just brute force their way in.
TeHCrAzY··on Of Course You're Awesome. Now Pay $10 a Month to Hear Someone Else Say It
The effort to result ratio seems to be quite desirable.
TeHCrAzY··on Email sucks. Time saving tips from Kevin Rose
Team Foundation Server from MS could achieve this I reckon (might need a bit of work to get it exactly how you want).

Or possibly even (I hate to say it) sharepoint.

TeHCrAzY··on Show HN: A new book notification service I just launched
I think you could mitigate some of the irritation by greatly increasing the movement speed of the highlight, and somehow fixing the snap-back that occurs when you move to the right of the bar.
TeHCrAzY··on CSS3 lasers
It's a tech demo, not a cross browser compatible widget.
TeHCrAzY··on Why Android devs are losing money, and it’s not due to piracy
Maybe Google is hoping that someone will fork the app store side of things, and it won't be their problem anymore?
TeHCrAzY··on Why Android devs are losing money, and it’s not due to piracy
Thats a limitation with your credit cards. Mine can bill in any currency required (obviously, followed by a currency conversion fee, and the conversion itself being completed at rates seemingly VERY favorable to the bank/cc company).
TeHCrAzY··on Google Unveils Awesomely Fast And Accurate Voice Actions For Android
Root it. Or just manually upgrade?
TeHCrAzY··on Ask HN: Tips for Hackers having Kids?
su cat /dev/urandom > /dev/msm_pcm_out

on Android :) You need root first, be aware, its quite loud >_<

TeHCrAzY··on Cars hacked through wireless tire sensors
Something I use, along a similar line: www.evoscan.com

Don't mind the wall of text website: I think it appeals to the revheads or something. The software is really quite clever (it can monitor and display variables from the ecu, along with allowing you to tinker with the software).

TeHCrAzY··on Ask HN: When did you realize your passion for programming?
You just reminded me of my own awakening with hyper card in early high school. Until reading this, I considered my first "wow, this is awesome" experience with programming was simple VB6 apps in late high school. Hyper card rocked my world.
TeHCrAzY··on [dead]
Likely a subtle troll. Many try to sneakily infiltrate conservapedia and post articles that sit between crakpottery and satire.
TeHCrAzY··on FTC halts domain-name registration scam
I get these in Australia...

It must work a reasonable amount of the time, otherwise the international postage wouldn't be worth it.

TeHCrAzY··on A DSL in 5 Languages: Ruby, Python, PHP, C#, Java
Gosh, every example (even in languages I don't know) are much easier to grok than the PHP one :/
TeHCrAzY··on Other Android Languages
Not to mention that the number of developers whom can create in Java vastly outnumbers those in Python.
TeHCrAzY··on Wikileaks To Leak 5000 Open Source Java Projects
It looks very similar, albeit a bit tidier than .net's implementation.
TeHCrAzY··on Wikileaks To Leak 5000 Open Source Java Projects
No, if I meant that, I would have written that. I know much about .net, and not a great deal about java.
TeHCrAzY··on Android wallpaper app that steals your data was downloaded by millions
The google apps are an outlier in my experience so far. They tend to ask for many indepth permissions. Most apps just want full network access (for ad's) and sometimes phone call state/sdcard access etc.
TeHCrAzY··on Android wallpaper app that steals your data was downloaded by millions
It's quite clearly stated, when you install an app from the market, what permissions is it requesting. If your wallpaper app wants to know your location, SMS content etc etc, and you still install it, more fool you.
TeHCrAzY··on Wikileaks To Leak 5000 Open Source Java Projects
Does Java have something similar to .Net's reflection?
