I made a voting tool (legitimate and funded by a campaign) with a throw away email as the contact:
<state><voting>@gmail.com
It was removed. For the OP, this could be an auto flag error or this could be something else.
(Edit: I bet) Google takes the election stuff seriously.
Anyone been on Slashdot lately? Checked it out too was really nice.
Hasn't this been happening for years (drug dealers, anonymous, etc..)?
These to me are separate issues that should be discussed independently.
So for your post: Data Collection, Algorithmic Manipulation, and Fairness in the Marketplace
This seems to be the hot thing right now at museums.
They usually slap a headset on you, and have a simple "scene" tell a story and walk you through a few rooms and ideas. Just like your Picaso demo [1] except you can't control where you go.
Might make sense to focus a demo strictly around that sort of virtual tour timeline and reach out to a few folks in that space.

The "Web framework and technologies" section doesn't seem accurate to compare in a meaningful way.
For example, they have Node.js as a standalone option probably throwing off everything. Then these compare weird when put together as options: Next, Nuxt, React, Vue, etc.
Love it or hate it, jQuery was also #3.
It’s easy for super paid engineers to figure out retirement because it will likely just automatically happen for them between high salaries / aggressively competitive benefits or stock windfalls if they can curb lifestyle spending habits and just work moderately hard.
For the rest of us… different story and life long commitment to reaching financial independence “the hard way”.
Some feedback:
- The end screen I wish was configurable or easier to see is this inflation adjusted or assume x% growth rate. This widget is the best I’ve used check it out: https://www.bankrate.com/banking/savings/save-million-calcul...
- I never know — and struggle - do these assume wage growth or not with inflation? I find this always the worst at trying to figure out savings and confusing. Maybe help digest that.
- “FIRE life hacks” or some fun name could also be useful. For example, paying down mortgage with extra payments, sell your car and get one 30% cheaper, killing expenses by x%, move that cash to index fund for 22 years left until retirement, side gig that produced $500 a month, or paying student loan debt or not faster. Would be cool to automate this with reasonable default recommendations. So less, hey your set or not make a plan, and more here’s your situation but here’s the best possible thing you could be doing. I think it could driver greater impact and people more likely to be motivated.
Either way, will definitely share this with friends, love what you all are doing, and wishing you good luck!

Have you ever called one of those big webhost with 24/7 support (GoDaddy, NameCheap, ScammyxyzabcdefghijkHost.com)?
Their support will have that poor soul on a call for 8 hours and then upsold to 50 business services they didn't need where they were "freaked out" into buying.
Cloudflare is trying to liberate domains (or at least technical folk) from all of that nonsense as an at-cost provider. You are not SOL with buying your domain at Cloudflare or using their services.
If you're an open minded nerd, I highly recommend this is like 10 hour board game. It's an excellent detox from your laptop, a balance of hardcore strategy and fun, and great way to socialize with a committed crew.

It's simply:
- Has WiFi (update from phone)
Then also:
- Being able to link with Alexa or similar to do things like turning off when you leave automatically
- Custom programming modes. So instead of setting a temperature at a single time during the day (home/away), you could do (morning/home/home2/afternoon/night/away)
- Can run my fan once an hour automatically for just 5 minutes
- Looks cool
Just don’t take anything personal. Being defensive / know best is in this industry everywhere at all levels and organizations.
Being humble in general is hard, being humble in code reviews is harder, being humble to Internet comments in any forum… sometimes impossible. Then repeat that with two super genius experts - eek.
You find everyone is usually trying their best if you ever have face to face (except server admins, they are stone-cold psychopaths, stay away).
Would bet you both are helpful and open minded at the end of the day.
> you will simply unlock your phone
Then I guess that really is no different from opening an app.
> When you sign into a website or app on your phone, you will simply unlock your phone — your account won’t need a password anymore.
> Instead, your phone will store a FIDO credential called a passkey which is used to unlock your online account. The passkey makes signing in far more secure, as it’s based on public key cryptography and is only shown to your online account when you unlock your phone
So if I was a dumb kid, I could login to my parents bank accounts (or more / worst) if my mom gave me her 4 digit phone password for games earlier?
For the site: I get the design choice to try and draw inspiration/influence from apple.com but this instead comes across as almost like a phishing site. I recommend finding a healthier balance.
Be curious if you shared more on who you are, why you built it, and what your plans are?
I'll definitely be using on a project soon. Really love the elegant docs and the API.
He’s going to cut the head off by redoing the algorithm and establish an insane amount of power / influence by reducing everyone else’s.
Bezo's "philanthropic" Washington Post purchase just became honest.
Every popular power account and blue check mark is about to get blown up. It's no secret he kind of hates them.
One small non-dev nitpick recently... I am a fan of keeping things "zen" or slim for productivity. Basically annoyingly hyper-focused on only having essentials. Today though, my Chrome browser is a mess of things I can't get rid of on my window:
- Share Icon
- Star Icon
- Extensions/Jigsaw Icon
- Reading List / Bookmarks Icon (new?)
- Profile Icon
- Tab arrow icon
- More icon
Less is sometimes more! I miss the minimalism. At least let me remove. Disgusting pic below:
This is kind of my beef in general, where does a normal family park cash?
Value Investing isn’t exactly easy.
I used to be big into FI/RE, but as I get older I am realizing cash flow is better (maximize your dollars in as easy and as stable as possible). Is more sustainable long-term than giant index fund nest egg… if I could choose.
To generate a ton of traffic or be worth something, I find you need to balance three things (personal opinion):
- Normal longer Blog type articles / announcements
- Quick blog / library / resource / how-tos
- Engagement / community
Each are unique for everyone.
For example, Cloudflare I would argue leans heavy to the longer blog rolls and is a lead gen for enterprise reads, investors, and also new hire folks.
For SEO though, Digital Ocean cares more about the library of resources style (I would wager). It’s why they are buying CSS-Tricks to get all that “smooth scroll css” traffic. This is very much a traffic is traffic mentality to boost their own blog traffic metrics. There are probably other factors here like community / clout. Why build all this when you can just buy it?
Then finally the last one is engagement. This is what converts and is having an active community. This is why influencers can make serious buck. This is the hardest to build and I would argue the most important. A “real following”.
Would love to hear your thoughts on this too and how you use your blog for your start up or business.
Cloudflare is essentially a giant membrane / shield / firewall for your website (or network).
Area 1 could be argued as roughly the same thing but for email instead.
Cloudflare is likely expanding their play into this space for their security suite offering of managing every single thing in-and-out of an organization.
Personally, I hated the idea of Area 1 and relaying all private emails through someone else. We literally, to my knowledge of how it works, have clients updating their DNS MX records to all send through Area 1 versus their own private Gmail accounts!
But now that Cloudflare is taking over I do not really mind. Trust pays off.
Honestly, it will be really hard get me to leave Front. I have never used a more productive app for my personal workflow - especially with a team.
This is seriously super awesome though. Some misc. feedback/comments:
- Front has Team Comments (private and between email messages) that are pure gold for collaborating responses and sharing drafts / notes.
- What you all have here with Grouping or "Bundles" is top shelf. Especially the interface and speed of things. I actually tried to get Front to add this in some one off survey two years ago. This allows such a better UX layer of organization than Tags/Folders or Merging emails. Seriously bravo and perfect.
- It's not clear if there's a way to manually create a Bundle. For example, I once asked a client to send me 15 photos, they sent it over 15 emails. I would like to manually "Bundle" and merge those emails basically forever. Edit: Apparently you can drag to do this... superb.
- Team Inboxes are really useful and I am trying to figure out if Bundles kind of replaces this.
- Don't care for Workspaces at all from what I can tell. Maybe my team is too small though. Just don't care for chat that much / use other stuff.
- Beyond Bundles, an almost Trello style organization for flow on "Bundles" could be useful as another layer. Attaching a screenshot of how I do it in Front from start of project to end of project life: https://imgur.com/a/eJ73oDF
- Front is a total mess when it comes to Tags vs Folders and Emojis. What you all have here is really gorgeous. Prop to design team as you can tell this was extremely thoughtful.
- Personally don't care for the gif or emoji stuff since email (to me at least) has always been a formal form of communication.
Regardless of how you personally feel about US wages and the 20% I already prepaid for tip through the company to them, to be able to send money to others would be useful.
There could be other cases besides tipping.
For example, I recently had movers. I went out of my way to get a cash tip for them earlier. It would have been nice to skip that and just ping it at them somehow without awkwardly saying "Hey friend do you have Venmo? Apple Pay? CashApp? I'd like to tip you. What's your phone number?! Let me get that, thanks, bye, delete.".
This is NFC and a bit different but just my thoughts.
