There's never any Windows Phone love...

sigh...

SpikeX··on Ask HN: How do you cope with a loud office?
Plus, if you shift your work hours (assuming your boss is OK with it), your commute will be much better because you're not traveling during rush hour.
SpikeX··on iOS vs. Android - A comparison for first-time developers
I would have liked to have seen how the Windows Phone marketplace stacked up against the other two, and how much better (or worse) it is in those categories.

I think all of the gripes in this article are based around the Metro UI, which was designed to be touch-friendly at its core. Pretty much every single point in this article becomes moot if you actually use the standard Windows desktop.

I think what a lot of people are assuming is that you have to use this new Metro UI exclusively, and the truth is, you don't. If you just treat it as a glorified start menu instead of a replacement to the Windows desktop, suddenly it becomes a lot less scary.

What part of Impress.js doesn't work? Don't look at the demo slideshow they give you, create your own. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work.

Needs a breadcrumb path and/or an intuitive way to go up a level, but otherwise that is pretty cool. :)

Honest feedback: The UI is extremely confusing, the whole site needs to be proofread for spelling/grammar, and the name doesn't really describe or even hint at what the product does.

It's a really good idea in concept, but the execution could have been much better.

I had the same question. It's a shame that the site doesn't have any additional information or links.

I'm also hesitant about the price... for $10 a month this service should support a large variety of languages and offer a lot of in-depth questions for each language. I can get the same knowledge elsewhere for free, so if I'm going to pay for this, it should be worth it.

I'm going to be honest here for a moment. I agreed with everything you said, but the disorganized, grammatically-incorrect manner in which you delivered it made it harder to read and understand. Slang writing doesn't get a point across as well as a well-structured, creative sentence with a vibrant vocabulary.
SpikeX··on Introducing the HUD. Say hello to the future of the menu
So basically... it's like the Windows 7 start menu search functionality, put into applications. It's not a terrible idea, but it should extend the current menu-based UI, not replace it.
