Sommersonn··on Where Are the Brave Military Voices Against the Forever War?
>USSR was never “on the same side” as Hitler.

Really? When they were parading captured Poland or conspiring to divide Europe - they were on different sides?

>Weakened USSR was denied power in Western Europe.

Not weakened, far from it. And it was denied _capturing_ Western Europe. Basically they were saved from horrors of soviet 'communism'.

Sommersonn··on Where Are the Brave Military Voices Against the Forever War?
Russia don't exist for 'hundred of years'.

Why you people are repeating the nonsense?

Sommersonn··on Where Are the Brave Military Voices Against the Forever War?
>What you’re missing is 20M+ Russians were killed in the last world war. That kind of causes deep seated trust issues.

20M+ _Soviets_, not Russians.

And USSR started that war ON THE SAME SIDE as Hitler, so they can blame themselves for 'trust issues'.

Sommersonn··on Where Are the Brave Military Voices Against the Forever War?
>The fundamental geostrategical priority for Russia is to maintain control (or at least good relations with, see Belarus) of the buffer regions around its densely populated regions.

Invading your neighbours is ok, if you'll just call it 'good relations'?

>That is why there are “tensions” when your neighbor begins discussions of entering NATO with a bit of USDS help.

Invading Ukraine was not a 'tension' and had nothing to do with NATO. Russia used another pretense.

>Don't have a direct source link to back this up, sorry.

So why you're spreading FUD, if you have nothing to prove your point?

> the Black Sea Fleet has run out of there under the Russian Flag

That was most wonderful comment so far.

So you're not aware that fleet's flag was changed at least 4 times during last 100 years and half of the time it was nothing to do with Russia?

Sommersonn··on RT, Sputnik and Russia’s New Theory of War
Should we count early Page & Brin efforts then?
Sommersonn··on Russian researchers expose U.S. spying program (2015)
Russia as a country exists only for ~25 years.

Also even it had Crimea for thousand years before, it still won't matter - they've signed numerous international agreement s which stated that Crimea belongs to Ukraine.

Sommersonn··on Russian researchers expose U.S. spying program (2015)
It wasn't _their_ naval base in Crimea.

>Yandex predates Google.

Yandex - founded in 2000. Google - founded in 1998.

Predates for sure.

Sommersonn··on Russian researchers expose U.S. spying program (2015)
>Russia, and the Russians in the region that was invaded, can justify its mis-deeds as protection of its sovereignty. America, and thus Americans, cannot. There were no Americans to protect in Iraq.

And there was no Russians to protect in Crimea, so stop whitewashing Kremlin lies.

Sommersonn··on Russian researchers expose U.S. spying program (2015)
> Russian military action in Ukraine was for the purpose of protecting its sovereign borders and access to the Black Sea.

Without Crimea Russia won't have access to Black Sea? Or it will lose her borders?

Please clarify.

Sommersonn··on Russian researchers expose U.S. spying program (2015)
Looks like our Russian friends strongly disagree with you.
Sommersonn··on Russian researchers expose U.S. spying program (2015)
Nice twisted rhetoric, really.

For a split second I did believed you, that Russia haven't invaded Ukraine, it merely 'protected it's local territory'.

Sommersonn··on Draft of new Latin-based Kazakh alphabet revealed
It's worth noting that Latin was introduced by Asian republics, not Russia or USSR - they forced cyrillic on all republics.

Sommersonn··on Facebook says it sold political ads to Russian company during 2016 election
US humiliated Russia? Care to provide some clarifications?
Sommersonn··on Facebook says it sold political ads to Russian company during 2016 election
There's a definition for that: "reverse cargo cult". Russians are told to believe that Westerners build their planes from branches and dirt too - but Westerners pretend better.
Sommersonn··on Facebook says it sold political ads to Russian company during 2016 election
Putin is angry because Yeltsin died from alcohol? What US has to do with it? Or with the fact that Putin's family died in the siege (which was USSR faut, by the way, since they've friended Hitler in 1939)?
Sommersonn··on Percentage of Europeans Who Are Willing to Fight a War for Their Country
Wonderful. This war ENDED in 1921, while USSR was created in 1922.

Please, check your facts better.

Sommersonn··on Percentage of Europeans Who Are Willing to Fight a War for Their Country
Please do tell me when Poland captured USSR territories.
Sommersonn··on Percentage of Europeans Who Are Willing to Fight a War for Their Country
Yes, they're invaded Poland. And no, Poland didn't captured any USSR territories before that, so you can't justify that invasion.
Sommersonn··on Percentage of Europeans Who Are Willing to Fight a War for Their Country
Wrong. That would be derailing.
Sommersonn··on Percentage of Europeans Who Are Willing to Fight a War for Their Country
Where did I ever said anything about 'wrong and despicable'?
Sommersonn··on Percentage of Europeans Who Are Willing to Fight a War for Their Country
Curzon line was suggested _during_ the war.

Besides, as I said - Poland had the same rights to these territories, so it was a fair game of whoever captured them first.

And if we're talking about broken agreements - Bolsheviks broke that agreement first.

Sommersonn··on Percentage of Europeans Who Are Willing to Fight a War for Their Country
How about common sense?

Or you plan to detail the discussion by switching context to talking about far-right fiction?

Sommersonn··on Percentage of Europeans Who Are Willing to Fight a War for Their Country
What "same lands" are you talking about? Poland had same rights as Bolsheviks to parts of Russian Empire.

If you don't know, Lenin proclaimed that Bolsheviks aren't successors to Tsarist Russia.

Sommersonn··on Percentage of Europeans Who Are Willing to Fight a War for Their Country
You're confusing non-aggression pacts with MR pact, which in fact DIVIDED Europe between two different dictators and basically lead to WW2.

Also that guy Starikov is nota a historian, but an ultra-right nationalist playing current Kremlin tune. So his "works" should be taken with a truckloads of salt.

Can you provide some examples? Especially for anti-China/Asia sentiments.
