SixDouble5321··on "Quiet quitting“: A revolution in how we work or the end of working hard?
Back when I was working for minimum wage, we just called this working...

How is this news? This is very likely apropos of any time period in human existence. Some percent of the population is going to feel under appreciated and some percent just plain DGAFOS

SixDouble5321··on Fake IMDB credits
I believe the correct question is: "what is the name of the film?" I'd expect you of all people would be interested in hacker nudes.

Oh my god that's exhausting
SixDouble5321··on MIT invents $4 solar desalination device
The price of an acre-foot of water has doubled in some places in the last year.
SixDouble5321··on Put down devices, let your mind wander, study suggests
Unsolicited anecdote time... I can't seem to get through physical books, but I can easily digest audio books and podcasts. I think that it has to do with the low bandwidth of reading combined with ADHD.
SixDouble5321··on Use one big server
Just trust me, I can refute anything with vague explanations.
SixDouble5321··on EU Digital Markets Act, aimed at Google, Apple, Amazon, approved
Malware occurs in both environments and often comes through the default app store.
SixDouble5321··on I've started using Firefox and can never go back to Chrome
Imagine if speed or color was your only concern for your car.

Choosing a feature like speed which is arbitrary and relative seems overly reductive.

SixDouble5321··on I've started using Firefox and can never go back to Chrome
+1, but I use it where I would otherwise use chrome/chromium.
SixDouble5321··on I've started using Firefox and can never go back to Chrome
That's funny, I find the opposite to be true of the Dev tools. Chrome is missing features here and there to boot. They do have lighthouse or whatever they call it though, which can be useful to some.
SixDouble5321··on I've started using Firefox and can never go back to Chrome
A couple times a week seems excessive. Hopefully you are being paid for this madness.
SixDouble5321··on I've started using Firefox and can never go back to Chrome
I'm assuming you are a Windows user, and also assuming you aren't on Windows 10 because it should be built-in there, but I would recommend getting a "printer" shell extension to save as PDF. That's what I always did back when I used Windows.
SixDouble5321··on I've started using Firefox and can never go back to Chrome
Windows itself?
SixDouble5321··on I've started using Firefox and can never go back to Chrome
Unfortunately Mozilla needs money.
SixDouble5321··on I've started using Firefox and can never go back to Chrome
Safari feels like what would happen if Playschool made a browser.

It's funny to me how many people give one tiny reason and are like... Nope goodbye forever.

SixDouble5321··on I've started using Firefox and can never go back to Chrome
It's not feature complete.
SixDouble5321··on I've started using Firefox and can never go back to Chrome
I am confused about the "I don't have any other choice" comment. I assume you mean because Firefox doesn't support whatever teams uses for meeting audio/video, or maybe it's the install feature you mentioned, but I use Firefox for both and use my phone for meetings.
SixDouble5321··on A Windows 95-like shell for Windows 3.1x
This thing was so sick at the time. It really made 3.11 feel better to use. For me at least, Win95 needed a newer computer. It was minute before I could upgrade and this thing at least made me feel a lot better about not having the new hotness.
SixDouble5321··on Leaked Amazon memo warns the company is running out of people to hire
I am probably not alone, but I use Amazon.com about twice a year. Pretty much only when I don't have time to wait for something, or if there is a ludicrous deal. It's obviously harder to get what I want, but I just think about the counterfeit items and the slave labor in the warehouse.

Of course I use AWS everyday at my job. I think of it like Amish people using power tools at their job.

What is the difference between a block list and a black list? Is there a similar distinction between white list and allow list?
SixDouble5321··on Welcome to the M1 Windows project
Funny, Windows on a Mac seems like total waste of time and hardware to me. Windows is ready to implode and stop being profitable with all of the CVEs and RCEs that are by design.

Please, kindly, keep your opinions which are not based on statistics or research, to yourself.

Looking at your past posts it appears you aren't a discriminatory bag of shit, but you could have fooled me with this comment.

You don't know people's situation and you don't know how medicines affect them.

SixDouble5321··on Framedeck: A Cyberdeck built with the framework mainboard
The link to the shoulder slung dual OS deck is broken, at least at writing. Anyway, it's here: https://www.msglab.co/project/msg-cyberdeck

Oh, so it's one of those types of personal opinion.
SixDouble5321··on 867-5309 in All US and Canadian Area Codes
This is fun. Also makes me think about all the calls I get where no one is on the other side.

How many other bots are collecting this type of information about a wider set of numbers?

SixDouble5321··on About those kill-switched Ukrainian tractors
If we don't get wiped out by a pandemic and/or climate change... Right to repair will be very important to empower the people.
SixDouble5321··on Apple's director of machine learning resigns due to return to office work

SixDouble5321··on Deutsche Bank whistleblower found dead in LA's Lincoln Park
It's cheap and effective. Not even that dangerous but we treat our addicts like dog shit.

SixDouble5321··on LineageOS 19
It's almost a cruelty to ourselves these days, but I agree with you about choosing which and when apps connect to the internet.
