It's quite a shame, because that solution for reading hexadecimal numbers out loud is quite elegant :)
I am afraid your data is outdated: it is now used for less than 15% of payments, mainly by old people or for C2C payments.
I am in my late twenties and have emitted only 3 checks from my account, in my entire life.
It doesn't help that our main EFF-equivalent, La Quadrature du Net, didn't have a very clear position about the copyright directive at some point [0].

Can we do anything, as users, to stop these people from hurting Mozilla, without stopping to use Firefox everyday?
Are they, in any way, accountable to their bad performance for all those recent years?

The only weird thing at first is Dart, but it is so close to any common language that it never was a problem for me. And it is so good to use a language with both AOT compilation and a quick reload mechanism!

While I fully understand the underlying concept, I don’t understand why so many people seems to be bothered by that anymore; I used to care about that as an Android user, but most of the apps I use everyday on my phone (Twitter, Inbox, Slack, Youtube, even Google Photos or Maps) do not seems to use the pure platform widgets anyway.
I discovered recently that you could just do a "quick swipe" (very fast) on the button in the right direction on both the volume and brightness virtual button to apply the expected effect. Good enough for my usage.
Problem solved!

Not everybody shares the same moral compass, as it is linked to many factors, including your political beliefs, country, education, etc.

This is clearly a generational problem; we have a lot of rules in France that were designed to protect theaters against early TV diffusion of blockbusters (« Chronologie des médias » [0]), but it is not designed for Netflix model at all.
Most of the film makers and the public understand the need for a change of that regulation, but of course theaters associations are lobbying against it.

Accounts are checked after each elections by the National Commission on Campaign Accounts and Political Financing; it is an active check, as some of the previous campaigns refunds were blocked because of some wrong doing.

Even if it is sincere (most of the time, it is), there are words or expressions that "tags" an end-of-company-life corporate post very quickly.

> A solution presented itself in an experiment by Dutch police, who last year used a trained eagle to pluck a DJI Phantom drone out of the air, Peter Holley reported for The Washington Post.
