While making it an extremely distant stretch goal feels a _little weird_, after reading the campaign it seems like their heart is in the right place and they want to make this a game that can be enjoyed in the long term without all the restrictive bullshit of modern gaming.
Likely the small payload/resource-demands of a Gamegear ROM + retroarch core are far lighter than most modern websites. Your battery life would probably be shorter visiting a random ad-filled news website in your browser.
There is a plethora of evidence that this is not the case. See this recent example: https://techcrunch.com/2024/02/08/a-fake-app-masquerading-as...
(Yes, it was pulled, but that was _after_ the public noticed and LastPass had to issue a warning)
> I just wish they would stop “double dipping “ and charging far in excess of their costs (and in excess of reasonable profit) to the app sellers.
That quarterly growth has to come from somewhere! Line goes up!
As for it not working, were you running a Flatpak/Snap version of the browser? Apparently those are problematic with Web USB. I personally haven't tried on Linux yet (just Mac O's) but now that I've switched to Fedora I might encounter the same issue you did.
Relative to what? Emulators are inherently complex software, and yuzu more than most since it has to deal with modern concerns like GPU drivers, game updates, DLC, etc. For all that it does, it is fine, it mostly works quite well.
On a more serious note, despite Apple's attempts to hobble/kill PWA, it is a very important platform for serving platform-agnostic apps not bounded by a walled-garden. Call me cynical, but the future is looking increasingly authoritarian, with governments everywhere calling for _less_ computing freedom. It is a terrible time to try to hobble this technology.
I am not an expert, but I believe eSIM-support is essentially a feature of the modem + the OS of the device.
The eSIM itself is basically just a blob of data that serves the same function as a SIM card WRT identifying/authenticating a phone on a network.
> I would assume not, but this FAQ feels weird
Agreed, being completely pedantic, that really isn't quite accurate. The "eSIM" construct is completely manageable through software.
Both iOS and Android allow adding/removing/disabling/enabling eSIMs once they are provisioned to the device through a carrier.

I tested just now in Firefox with an app from https://appsco.pe and it does indeed work!
I can do the same with the Android version of Brave.
> If you install Firefox it uses Gecko but still has native app look feel?
That depends on your definition. Making an app _feel_ native is a matter of implementation. But the opposite is also true: A native app is free to feel non-native if the app creator makes it that way.
The app does show as a distinct entry in the app switcher, but still has a Firefox icon when I tested it just now.
> LastPass would like to alert our customers to a fraudulent app attempting to impersonate our LastPass app on the Apple App Store. The app in question is called “LassPass Password Manager” and lists Parvati Patel as the developer.
From the article:
> ...the app was likely created to act as a phishing app and steal credentials.
> If you have installed the fake LastPass app, you should immediately remove it and change your password at lastpass.com. It is then advised to perform the arduous task of resetting all passwords stored in your LastPass vault to be safe.
Though one could argue that they have not _definitively_ proven that this app is a threat through testing, it really is not much of a stretch of the imagination that a LastPass-lookalike would be used for phishing. This app is very clearly an illegitimate clone.
It uses a standard coin cell, but, does not have a heart rate sensor.
And you can install three personal apps at most.
It is our moral imperative to preserve this software despite the interests of these companies, lest it be lost forever.
Due to the unique form factors of the DS, 3DS and Wii U, it is very unlikely that the majority of these games will be ported to newer, single-display systems like the Switch, so the argument for them selling them again on a newer system is largely moot at best and disingenuous at worst.
My public schooling in a podunk county TN had no component for financial management.
Even so, you assume that such education exists in a vacuum. It does not. It runs counter to a deluge of culture and advertising that tries to induce people to go into debt the moment they are able to pass a credit check.
