PetrBrzyBrzek··on GLM-5.2 is the new leading open weights model on Artificial Analysis
I'm a bit shocked that GLM 5.2 is not multimodal. Like, how should I use it? I use images all the time.

Why is this AI slop article first on HN?

I’m sorry, but I find it hard to believe that you didn’t find any. I personally know at least 5 services that offer this.

PetrBrzyBrzek··on How to post when no one is reading
Yeah, I agree. I’m verified and even tried a higher tier, but it didn’t make any difference. The For You tab feels almost like scrolling TikTok – total brain rot.

My strategy now is to repost all content everywhere. But X consistently gives me the worst results.

PetrBrzyBrzek··on How to post when no one is reading
I find this especially difficult on X, where almost no one sees my posts. Especially when I compare it to LinkedIn or Reddit, where it’s not that hard to reach thousands or even tens of thousands of views.
PetrBrzyBrzek··on Figma Slides Is a Beautiful Disaster

PetrBrzyBrzek··on Figma Slides Is a Beautiful Disaster
I personally stopped using traditional presentation software altogether. These days, I build all my presentations using vibe coding tools. It might not be the fastest way to create a presentation, but it’s definitely the most fun. Plus, for animations, all you need to do is explain what you want, and most of the time, it just works. I even asked for speaker notes, and I had them ready in three prompts. Magic.

If you’re curious, I use Macaly for this (macaly.com).

PetrBrzyBrzek··on Show HN: Time travel debugging AI for more reliable vibe coding
If anyone is wondering why it looks like Bolt, it’s because it’s using Bolt.DIY, an open-source fork of Bolt (https://github.com/stackblitz-labs/bolt.diy). The catch is that it's still using WebContainers from StackBlitz, so it's not really possible to run it commercially. You need to get rid of WebContainers and find something different.

PetrBrzyBrzek··on Show HN: Simple demo tool for Gemini 2.0 Flash object detection
Gemini 2.0 is the first model that can return precise bounding boxes. Other providers and models can't handle this.
PetrBrzyBrzek··on Use OpenAI Voice mode to practise for YC interview
Thanks, I understand. This is a free tool and doesn’t have much to do with the main platform at the moment. Langtail is primarily for testing LLM apps.
PetrBrzyBrzek··on Use OpenAI Voice mode to practise for YC interview
Hi, I'm a non-native English speaker, and YC interviews are known for requiring quick and concise answers. This is a much bigger challenge for me than for native speakers. The best way to improve is, of course, practice. Thanks to OpenAI's real-time API, I can train anytime, knowing it's just AI. It's far more comfortable for me to make mistakes this way, and when properly prompted, the LLM can be quite critical. By default, it tends to be overly optimistic, calling every silly idea brilliant. I'd appreciate if you could try it out. This app was created in just one day over a weekend. The images are generated using Flux 1.1-pro. Regarding the OpenAI key, it's only on the frontend and isn't sent to our backend.

It has sound. And yes, it's not optimized for phones right now. I wonder if people would like to try OpenAI functions on their phones?
PetrBrzyBrzek··on Show HN: Playground for OpenAI Function Calling
Yes, we are big fans of open source.

Hi, thanks for the interesting article. I have a question about Pinecone. What is the cost of storing all these vectors?
PetrBrzyBrzek··on Prompt engineering DaVinci-003 on our own docs for automated support (Part I)
“Fine-tune our model (OpenAIs GPT-3 davinci-003 engine)”

I think there is a mistake in the article. It is not possible to do fine-tuning for the latest davinci-text-003, but only for the original davinci model, which generates much worse results.

PetrBrzyBrzek··on Apple Design Resources
It’s interesting that there is no Figma links.
PetrBrzyBrzek··on PSD is not my favourite file format
Just for the folks who could find this interesting. We are making an SDK for reading, changing, and viewing PSD and other formats (Adobe Illustrator, Adobe XD, Sketch, and Figma) outside of design tools. I believe this can open new use cases such as design to code automation, linting design data, etc.

We also have a universal design format that tries to unify as many features as possible. The SDK is going to be open sourced in a few weeks. Right now we offer REST API. You can check it here http://opendesign.avocode.com/.

I'm trying to do "build in public" kind of marketing on my twitter account for this https://twitter.com/PetrBrzek.

PetrBrzyBrzek··on Show HN: Open Design – Dev Toolkit to Work with UI Design Data Programmatically
Co-founder here - Open Design is the result of 5 years of building tools around proprietary design file formats like Sketch, Figma, Photoshop, or XD.

We’ve built a developer toolkit to programmatically read, change, and display design data called Open Design. The key idea behind it is to give developers access to design data outside the interface of design tools so they could build and automate workflows at scale. We enable you to convert any number of design files, regardless of their file format, to one unified and easily readable JSON-based format Octopus.

Using the Octopus format, you’ll get unified access to all design data like layer styles, text content, colors, or layout coordinates. With this data, you can easily replace manual tasks in your Design Process and Design Ops with automations like: switching styles at scale, connecting design data with code, generating localized design versions, auto-updating image assets in code, converting design formats, and more.

You can check out the documentation through the link above.

Please AMA, I’d love to hear your thoughts or questions.
