O-stevns··on Apple requires account deletion within apps in AppStore starting January 31
I don't think that's right, but the policy and the article doesn't answer these questions particularly well, so it's very much up to interpretation... The problem with linking to a website is that it doesn't make anything better for the user, since that could be either directing to a form, a support phone number or mail. Neither which improve the situation because the user is not in control.

if you provide a good and easy sign in functionality from your app, through native UI and the like, then you should be able to provide the same functionality for deleting that same account. That is at least what we have recommended one of our clients, but that client is also a public transport company, so they can't afford to be in gray area where the app is either rejected or taken down.

O-stevns··on Valve Steam Deck
This sounds like a tv issue rather than a switch issue. Monitor != tv. Having played hollow knight on both PC and switch, I can say that I haven't felt any noticeable difference. In general one should expect between 30-100 ms input lag, depending on the tv model. Even with gaming mode enabled, some tv models are simply terrible for gaming.

Playing in handheld mode, there should be no input lag at all.

O-stevns··on People Keeping BlackBerry Alive
Nordic user here, love the ability to easily write æøå together with English, as I mix between my native language and English.

Love the tactile feedback, the ability to write without looking at the screen, not being dependant on an aggressive typechecker, having the ability to use the keyboard to scroll, attach shortcuts to keys and much more.

My current phone is a KEY2 and my previous was a Blackberry Z10. My primary use is private usage but text heavy and somewhat work related (via BlackBerry Hub although the android Hub+ app doesn't beat the bb10 gesture experience) but I do also use it for various app stuff (not games). It fits all my needs.

Imo. The touch keyboard interface simply doesn't beat having a physical keyboard. when that's said, having the touchscreen is still nice because games and apps are optimized for such handling but for text I'll keep looking forward to the next BlackBerry with keyboard (a new one is presumably being announced in q1 this year).

O-stevns··on Ask HN: Any good alternatives to pen and paper?
I use mine practically every day.. Scribbling feels awesome and one of the most recent updates made it feel even better.

The only downside is that undo seemingly has gotten a bit slower, so it's often much faster to erase than undo.

Except for that I really like it.

It's expensive but I think it's well worth it and it has definitely replaced paper for me. I also expect it to vastly outlive an iPad or Android tablet.
