There are modern alternatives to manual coding both for developers (embeddable editors for SAAS) such as beefree, unlayer, chamaileon, stripo and for email designers like beefree, stensul, knak, stripo, taxiforemail...
AutoHotKey: create custom hotkeys (ie CTRL+RightArrow to skip to the next Spotify song)
Chromacam: add a custom background in MS Teams videocalls
My preferred one is X1 Carbon with FHD display which saves battery, it's also pretty lighter and thinner than the X1 Yoga. If you like touch screens and embedded pen, I'd go with the Yoga, still better than XPS13 for me.
Reasons? Better ports (HDMI, USB3.0) and better keyboard (yes, you can switch the Fn and the CTRL keys, it's a BIOS option).

To do this: Download the extension and unpack it. You get the "Sci-Hub" folder with code. Open Chrome and navigate to chrome://extensions, or just open the menu -> settings -> extensions. Check the developer mode in upper right.[...]
However the 5 reasons supporting text email are pretty wrong:
1) Poor rendering. Just use a good email editor, such beefree.io or others. Not a issue at all.
2) Mobile clients. Same as above
3) Email CSS. Same as above
4) Design effort. Yes, if you want a good result, you need a little effort. But if you rely just on text, you should put the same effort in choosing the best words. Consider than with a single Image you can communicate much more (and deeply) than with 20 lines of text.
5) Approval. Any communication department would require to approve email content, not only design.
Regarding the other reasons mentioned:
a) spam filters. Text doesn't change the inbox placement rate, the impact if any is below 0,001%, so totally irrelevant.
b) promotions tab. It actually depends on other variables, it's not a matter of text vs emails. If a transactional messages arrives in Promotions instead of Updates, you should fix the content (use a different IP/domain for transactional vs bulk), not the email format.
c) true, a template looks like something "bulk" or automated, while a simple text email may look like a personal direct email. Unless you want to cheat..
By using an ESP (like Aweber, Mailchimp, etc) means that you are sharing part of your "reputation" with thousands (or even millions) other senders. So even thou most of the ESP are quite efficient in cleaning-up their customer base from spammers, the more clients they have, the more it's difficult.
Here you can find an pretty accurate and updated analysis of ESP's clients "quality": http://mainsleaze.spambouncer.org/may-2017-in-spamtraps-esps... Aweber is #6, which is not a good signal.
That said, you may switch ESP by choosing one that provides a you custom "identity" such as dedicated IP, DKIM, PTR, SPF records (which usually means quite a lot of setup and costs) or choose an ESP that doesn't have tons and tons of clients, eventually with a free version.
http://www.emailvendorselection.com/ is an updated ESP directory. You are of course also welcomed to try mine: http://www.mailup.com
1) have a specific price for every single network makes it impossible to calculate which will be the final real cost for each country
2) it's crazy expensive outside the US. Every player in the SMS industry is 4x lower on average. IE: http://www.mailup.com/pricing/sms/
3) they don't support text as a sender. In many countries you can have "MyCompany" as a sender instead of a generic number or short code. This makes the communication much more effective.
4) They claim the pricing will be different for transactional & marketing traffic, but it's not clear how , they just provide one only price list.
5) first 100 messages to US numbers free (each month). I expect they will be soon abused and they will retire this offering.
6) they don't support 2-way communication
7) SMS prices usually go down when volumes increase
