I'm running it on the latest zenbook S14, on the ultra 7. Great battery life, and no problems entering/exiting sleep mode.
rss2email was originally written by Aaron Swartz.
I currently have a different machine dedicated to pihole, but it would be intriguing to have something built in. I would imagine split DNS and firewall rules would be simpler this way.
It periodically fetches the rss feeds, and sends the content to a specified email address where you can use your email reader to sort them into folders.
Assuming you have a "good" email client, this takes care of most of my RSS requirements: Free software, offline availability, and the ability to read anywhere.
The only missing feature I think it could use is a nice GUI to manage feeds.
That's the one "feature" I've been waiting on that just seems to be stuck in limbo.
Looks like the bug is still open: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=449299
Like openmw, it requires the original game.
I think the title is misleading.
For example, I've worked in a monorepo that was one giant binary, but I've also worked in a monorepo that was a single repo that contained 4 ish independent services ( but were all in a single git repo ).
This paragraph should really be right in the beginning of the post, instead of in the conclusion.
EDIT: Not sure why I am downvoted, editing is against the site guidelines: https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html
This particular title also feels extremely clickbaity.
The code is here[0]. It still needs more testing and cleanup, and will then eventually be merged. After that it'll take some time to make to all the distributions ( freenas, freebsd, etc. )
AFAIK there is a single default. Just use that. If you need more features you can go down that rabbit whole but I think tiddlywiki is very usable without any modifications like you're describing.

It has the hackability of emacs but can run anywhere a browser can ( both online and offline ). And of course, an active community and ecosystem built around it.
It seems like something that checks all of these boxes just isn't available.
